  1. ok its very simple get software from HERE costs 29 euro then follow instructions bla blah blah so this will install POI HANDLER you need to have your Pocket pc synced with your computer to download it..... Then pop over to HERE and here you can download all of the POI for your navigator the POI handler runs on top of the nav software but is invisible in use......it may take a bit of playing around to get it set up how you want it but it is really quite simple the Speed cams cost £8 ish which you can pay through pay pal but it tells tou how to do it. You will however need to find or make new WAV files as all it has is "WARNING" and its pretty annoying when you drive past burger king and its warning you about it. Also i found last night the Mc Donalds POI has no info but it may of been my download didnt work very well. You may find some of the info isnt exactly where it should be i.e shops not quite on the same street as you know they are but if you are away from your home town im sure it will put you pretty damn close to where you want to be. Have a play around with it and im certain you will agree it is money well spent..... I didnt mean to be rude just still saving for a new car and get annoyed sometimes as all my spare cash goes into that. Good luck Nick Ill be unable to help you with any more Q's as im off on my hols now but im sure you will find it very easy to sort out.
  2. You Can afford the Lexus you can afford to pay for it...........seriously all in its like £30 get poi warner and then subscribe to get the speed cams you get all the other bits free i.e mcd's kfc burger king..............£30 is a small price to pay for the software consideing you could pay £500 for a gps warning system with a 1/10 of the functionality. Nick
  3. Charcoal all the time every time......to use gas is just well daft..... THE thing to use is not the cheap charcoal briquettes but Aussie heat beads available from any good diy store ( read b&q focus etc ) these give a fierce heat off for hours often till the next morning they are a little more expensive but last longer so you use less. Cooking is what i do for a job and most of the hotels ive worked in the summer we'd do the good old sunday BBQ for the punters we would use a giant gas BBQ which was C**P.....then one day they bought us a proper which was much more fun..... The best kind of BBQ i have found is the kettle type or one with a lid as this helps radiate the heat around the food and thus ensures it cooks properly. If you can get hold of some use some wood chips as well as this well give your food that authentic smoked flavour. Keep a water spray near the BBQ as well to knock down any flames helps to stop the food burning. Any BBQ king knows charcoal is the only way, You should never have burnt food on coals...Its just a matter of timing simple as that, If your food is burning then you just need to move your rack up higher. Nick
  4. For anyone that is intrested here is the link to POI HANDLER Looks quite handy and a good addition to the bargain sat - nav. Nick
  5. LMFAO Was just over on ebay and saw this EBAY Thats £100 clear profit if someone buys it on buy it now. Be very careful if buying from ebay.....some people just cant help themselves. Nick
  6. Indeed i got mine from cambridge..... Like i say it was worth the wait and believe me it was some wait 2 checkouts open and 20 people queueing!!! It was i believe a really good deal. ... the guy had them under the till so you had to ask for them i had a look but didnt see anymore under there. If you can get one then i reckon you will be very pleased with it.....I had been looking for a while but £400 was the average price i could see...... a saving of £130 seemed like a good deal to me. Her inddors is driving from stansted to Newcastle on sunday so will lend it to her and see how it works. I will report back on how she gets on sunday night as my testing it driving round town is not that hard for it. Once again thanks letting me in on this on Nick
  7. First up THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.................... I went out and got one of these today...was well worth queueing with all the people doing there shopping. Got me back the 34 miles from cambridge to stansted airport and then to my house even though i ****** her off by ignoring all her directions round my local town.....she just kept sending me the right way......DAMN no excuses for being late home now.... Then me and my dad put in a random road in town and she took us straight there.... NOW that i was impressed with. It has some software to let you do stuff with DVDs on it but ive only it 2 hours so have no idea what it is like......I was really intrested in it for the SAT NAV and that it would appear to do very well.....it shows all the petrol stations (you guys in your lexus need that......i have a diesel :D ) It shows hospitals and hotels and well most stuff you need havent checked it out for Mc Donalds yet!!!!! It has a clear screen and a loudish speaker so all in for £269 GO BUY ONE!!! If any one has any Q's feel free to ask. Once again thanks for this. Nick Ha ha ive been using it a bit more.....it will let me put in postcodes as far as CM23 3 then you can add the road and off you go......... it also has hotels etc etc. Im off now to see if it will get me the 3 miles too work Lets see how it does with a few special detours on the way there!!
  8. Not sure if you will still be able to get this deal but PCWorrld were doing a belkin cable router and PCMCIA card for £50 a month or so ago. I have this setup and too be honest it was very very easy too setup is very reliable can use it out in the back garden or in the car on the street. The only odd thing about it is that the Laptop seems quicker downloading and surfing than the Pc is which is all wired to the router!! Nick This is also the latest 54G setup AFAIK the fastest you can get at the moment for a realistic price!

  11. Sorry didnt make it totally clear its from a garage not lexus woodford thats where the servicing was all done!! I had inteneded too keep it for a few years as her indoors is dead set on buying a house so it will be the last car that i own only for ayear and so wanted too get one that would last me a while. I only drive a few miles back and forth too work each day and she is getting a comapny car next month so it will not get a huge amount of use......just want something to use that is decent for me thats all really as her car will get most of the use. Thanks so far for all your responses Nick
  12. Hello I need a little buying advice if possible....... I went too look at a 99 Is200 today for sale today it is in very good condition, no bonnet chips, By the looks of it new alloys on it and the interior is in excellent condition as well..... The thing is it has 130000 on the clock!!! It has a full LSH on it from Woodford which has been done bang on the 10000miles the price it is up for is £8595 its in very good condition, do you think its a reasonable price for it ive looked at the obvious things all joints, full lock tesy checked theengine over for any leaks, none i could see. What do you guys think.........is it worth going back for another look....it drives very well its an auto and has sat nav as well and is in granite sky. Thanks in advance for your help Nick
  13. Hello This isnt a problem with my RX......cos i dony have one.....But a vauxhall i drive does this it is caused by the plastic heater pipes expanding as they got hot when the car is warming up....the only way i could replicate it at the dealer was too put the A/C on 16c and chill the car right down and then put it on 27c and then you could it creak, dealer offered no real sloution on the problem. Just make sure if you do this test you have a perfect windscreen (no chips or cracks) as doing the test will more than likely wreck it. Nick
  14. You can aslo dial 1750 too turn the answerphone on and i think 1760 too turn it off!!! You may need too check with o2 for the off number!!!! Nick
  15. I have the t610 with jabra BT headset which works pretty well, the voice recognition is a little ropey but usable if you get rid of as much background noise as possible, I find the sony very easy to use and after 3 sonys will never go back to a nokia........ I always smile when i see people pull out there t610 makes a change from all those damn nokias everywhere. Have had no probs with the software on this one, the old t68i had to have a S/W upgrade which soon sorted it out. Go with the Sony you wont regret it. Nick
