Hi folks….Having ordered my NC350h in early March 22 I’ve just heard that she will be loaded on to the Oregon Highway which is currently well on its way from Toyohashi - next port Suez Canal. This might be of interest to others who ordered at a similar time. Exciting times….

I knew through the app that it had been built but thanks to Stephen Hinshelwood at Lexus UK HQ I got the following news…. >>I have some news that your new car will be shipped to the UK onboard the Oregon Highway.<< this vessel left Toyohashi 3 days ago and is well on its way via the Suez Canal. Exciting times….your Lexus might be on board too.

Not a design fault…a feature, Sir, the same on my old Yeti….

If I understand your issue correctly I think it’s designed so that road dirt is kept away from the sill of the entry to the cabin so long clothes don’t get dirty…

I have my fingers crossed for you Thomas - I’m so old (71) that not only did I work for BA but its predecessor too…BOAC. BOAC in my time flew Boeing 707s and VC10s. It was said that the Boeing could only take off due to the curvature of the Earth. In my humble opinion the VC10 specifically built for “hot and high” airfields, along with the Lockheed Constellation and Concorde are the most elegant aircraft ever built. Hope you get your Lexus soon. 👍

Oh Frabjous Day! Just got this from Lexus UK HQ…. >>- hot off the press, our systems show that your car is being built and assembled today in Japan<< It was ordered first week of March 22 and now with a provisional ETA at my dealership of March 8th. Got a special plate for it too - I’m retired BA staff. (NX350H F Sport Sonic Titanium)

I use a Thule bike rack that attaches to the tow bar. Not much help to you I know..

My 16 plate NX300h F Sport has a tow bar fitted - specified at time of ordering and fitted by Lexus at the point of import - Portbury.

Ordered NX350h F Sport in early Mar 22, delivery date slipped gradually but I had to chase the dealer to get the latest ETA in each instance (most recent Apr/May 23). After nearly 10 months of waiting I expressed my disappointment to Lexus UK HQ between the holidays. I got a comprehensive reply which explained the difficulties - as mentioned here the higher the spec the more problematic sourcing chips was. I did, though, get a call from the dealer yesterday saying my car was “in build” which was great to hear with an ETA now in March. I can’t help wondering if there’s a relationship between my email to UK HQ and the phone call? This is great news but worryingly this isn’t reflected in the app yet. 🫤 Happy new year folks….🤞🏻🤞🏻

Ordered similar in Mar 22 told to expect Oct/Dec, that slipped out to March, subsequently slipped again to Apr/May. 13/14 months and counting….on both occasions I’ve had to chase the dealership to be given deteriorating news. 🫤
