  1. Had my water pump changed at woodford that was just over £520 that was £98 + vat an hour

    total  :tsktsk:  rip off

Why did you have to get yours changed?

had it done as part of a service no noise they said it was leaking but it never used any water in 10 months

I dont trust woodford if they know it's under warrenty they try and bump up the bill

  2. Like the front but it is strange that the bit people seem to like the most on the old IS (rear lights) judging by the number of people that have copied them that they did not do something similar on the new IS instead it looks like they have stuck some old Alpha one’s on

  3. I would recommend the ones prolex sells good quality good price

takes about I hour to fit and tidy up. I would recommend about 5-6k temp.

You only need low beam cant use on main beam coz it takes time to warm up so u wouldn’t be able to flash any one hope this helps :D

  4. If you want to sell the plate separately it costs £105 to put it onto a retention certificate but you need to allow time if you do it all by post it’ take's about 3 weeks, if you take your papers to a DVLA branch they will do the paperwork there and you can put your old plate back on but they will post the retention certificate to you should get it in about 2 weeks

    Hope this helps

  7. Guys

my insurance is up in 2 weeks so I’m phoning around the best so is the Halifax they have said it’s a standard alarm\immobiliser and if it’s a cat 1 it will be cheaper surely the companies know what alarms are on the cars ! And they also said if it’s cat 1 they need a certificate. Did I just get someone dopey on the phone or are they trying to shaft me (how can u have a ticket for a factory install?)

is it defo a cat 1

    Cheers :)

  8. kazdul rant over mate not knocking Toyota my pickups Toyota and it's great all my rant was is that it's marketed as a luxury car I just don’t think it lives up to it maybe it's just the baby lex, last year at my firm they changed all the cars the directors are driven around in from merc's to lex’s and the guy's still say how good the lex's are so maybe it's me expecting to much, that’s it I’m done now :D :D :D

    Happy Xmas All

  9. was looking for a car with a good sat\nav saw a lexus in the garage at work thought that will do so brought that .................been regreting it ever since

    Why is that?

Wow where do you want me to start

First the car has been ultra reliable 1 good point

Paintwork!!!! If a sparrow farts on it you end up with a chip for what is supposedly a luxury car this is just not good enough.

Wheels that corrode not good enough I think that’s why they started doing black wheels coz they could not cure the flaking.

My company car before this was an Omega, I had it for 3 years and they guy before me had it for 2 years it had 155k miles on it when sold all motorway had 3 stone chips and no flaking wheels and that from a Vauxhall I now use a Saab the same no chips and no flaking the front of my Lex looks like it been peppered by a shotgun

The Lex has electric seats but what’s the use without memory the omega had 3 memory setting and they worked the seats, mirrors in and out

The boot is very small and even smaller when the hinges come down. I now carry a roof rack in the boot as anything bigger than a pizza would have to go on the roof.

It is unbelievable slow and amazingly jucie I have to keep stopping to look underneath to c if the tanks leaking how can a car that’s that slow drink so much.

It has almost zero grip on anything but an ultra dry road

The only decent bit is the sat nav and that’s not that great just bought a 04/05 disk and it hasn’t got post code input or the M6 toll road

I have found the Lex staff at Woodford very helpful but there prices outrageous

I have had many Jap cars most did exactly what they where supposed to

I don’t think the Lex measures up to all the hype at the end of the day it’s just a posh Toyota with nice back lights

Sorry guy’s but that’s how I see it
