  1. ........... or do you do this too ?

Everytime I'm out driving around ............ in my own car, or even at work ... and I see another Lexus, I'm always looking to see if it's got any mods .... maybe the L3X number plate .... and think to my self "I wonder if he/she is a club member"

........... or am I just completly mad ?

Well, V400LEX drives around Bristol...but I've met the owner. Soon the plate will be worth as much as the car?

    Who's got CHR 1 S? (CS7 was on a Citroen DS once.....)

CHR 15 is up for sale at r4v for £85k

  2. use a road angle good unit but the database is veeeerrry slow at being updated 2 camera's have been put in quite close to me and have only just gone on the database 7 weeks late how many other are out there no yet added it don't matter how good the units are if the update's are s :tsktsk: t

  3. I recognise that ECU (middle-left picture, silver box to the right of the alternator)

That's a Romano gas system, got one on mine.  Same tank, too, but much smaller (got a 70 litre tank in mine)!

Tsk, BMW engine cover in a Lexus?  Luckily my engine cover still fits, even with all the gas gubbins fitted!

Not quite a Romano e.c.u, its a O.M.V.L Dream 21'n ecu ( injector and reducer), but its the same as Bigas, zavoli etc's ecu's, all made by AEB ,if is its got a 'C' on it is non-sequential and 'N' means it has sequential softwere

I couldn’t get the cover/air box back over and the injectors/nozzles in the optimum place

and a 70L toroidal tank would leave quite a bump in the boot floor mines only a 45L and fits quiet tight

Can't see from the pics where the lpg intake\filler is have they cut it into the bumper :excl:

  4. How do you turn it on?

I got my windscreen replaced a few weeks ago (again a stone chip, 6 inch crack) and haven't checked it's working because I didn't know you could turn it on and off.

You can't turn it on and off as such.....it comes on automatically when you start the car up.

@ colinbarber, i'll give that a try in the morning. thought that'd probably be the answer but wasn't sure if it would actually work.

i thought the element in the front screen came on with the rearscreen\mirrors :excl:

  5. Went from an R33 to an IS 200 you cant compare to two they are so different my R33 was bog standard quite quick but as the japs export is limited to about 275 bhp but very easy to chip and there is so much available for it however did get pulled a lot in it.

The lex is more soft but is slower, doesn’t handle as well (but what does) drinks a lot more juice, wheels corrode, thin paint bla bla bla only got rid of it as I had a few cars and someone made me a very good offer. :D

  6. Hello,

First off, I'd like to apologise for doing this to a Lexus ( I did spend the extra money to get the detachable version)

Because I'm moving into a new house in a few weeks, I'm going to need to be transporting all sorts of things which won't fit in a IS200 - and I've got a trailer, so it makes sense.

Any way, my questions is about the electrics of the towbar - has any one done their own wiring - and is there any thing special about it?

I was told by the sales girl that the IS needed a relay (@£26) but I didn't take it because I wasn't sure if it was just for a caravan or not.

Most of you will be relieved to hear that I will never be towing a caravan.

    Thanks for any advice.

I have the Brink detachable on mine it takes a live feed from the footwell (I think) to a “Ryder” relay in the boot all the connection from the towbar socket go in one side of the relay unit the other side goes to the side lights\brake etc I was told it was so it does not bring up the warning light but also if you wire it direct it could draw to much power and blow a fuse

    Ade :D
