  1. Richard, that car in your post is already built and I believe will be in showrooms from Jan 2017
  2. Doog442 - I don't believe you've bought a lemon at all rather you've bought a motor that suited your taste and driving preference The problem i believe is that of public perception and some age groups who are generally reluctant to try something new. Imagine the number of owners of series 2 & 3 IS 250; which are cars with serious potent engines, all of those owners would happily buy a IS 350 that can crack 0 - 60 in 6s. if a poll is conducted today majority of the IS 300 h drivers will be over 40 whilst most under 40's would consider hybrids too sedate and opt instead for faster BMW's or Audis. I believe current Lexus cars does not accurately cater for the age 30 -40 bracket. The CT for example cannot compete with a Golf Gti or Seat Cupra / Skid vRs to name a few and the IS version available in the U.K can't compete with a 3 series 330i or. 335i or 335d for that matter. It means if you love the IS and you are a person who requires their car to have pace your only option is the ludicrously expensive ISF
  3. Does anybody know if this will fit in a RX . It is a GS 450, f sport OEM part and it looks better than the standard knobs fitted in the recent IS, NX, RX. Am considering it for my new RX. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2012-2016-JAPAN-LEXUS-GS-F-SPORT-LEATHER-SHIFT-KNOB-JDM-GS250-GS350-GS450h-RED/201733674419? _trksid=p2141725.c100338.m3726&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150313114020%26meid%3Da9e7d598549d411d959a76190c69a827%26pid%3D100338%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D152338207493
  4. But am surprised BMW still sell their high powered versions here in the U.K and on the continent, am sure there is a sizeable market for powerful petrol combustion cars yet, not consumer care about these so called eco cars (hybrids). Even diesels are now starting to get a bad press from the ozone brigades.
  5. Here we go awaiting mud flaps to be fitted at local dealership Hatfield.
  6. GSLV6, you are right to an extent the conservative curves of the last generation RX had world appeal including me however when ever there is a rapid departure be it in design or in IT (remember windows XP upgrade to Windows 10), it takes a while for the change to grow on people. I remember when I first got my NX in march this year, that was the time the RX first hit the showroom, I walked round it and said nah. But I begin to take interest seeing more and more of them on the road. In the end beauty they say is in the eye of the beholder, but you should test drive one and you may be surprised you may change your mind. Happy cruising.
  7. I became a proud owner of a new 66 Reg RX 200 t F Sport today after trading in my NX 200T F Sport. The difference in the two cars couldn't be clearer. Being a Avid car enthusiast I spent the last month or so test driving several options like Jaguar F pace 3.0i S, BMW X 5, an X3 3.0d M sport, Land Rover Discovery sport, after weighing all options I still settled for the Lexus. The build quality of the RX was way above all the competition, the F Pace as good looking as it was was just not up to the Lexus ambience and quietness on the motorway. It looks like I have now gone full circle from a 2008 GS 450h to 2012 RX 450h to 2016 NX 200T and now to the RX 200 T. Long may Lexus continue to make them this good and we'll continue to buy. Delivery is due at the weekend and can wait. Pictures will follow soon.
  8. I currently have a 2016 NX 200T and just seen a good offer on a delivery mileage RX 200 T. Am just wondering how this engine will fare in a bigger car. In the NX it is very brisk and potent. What do people think
  9. Yes Andy, the dealers are always helpful in these sort of cases. My local dealer helped me with the navigation operations
  10. Dougie, you would find a lot of these metal F Sport stickers for under £5 at Aliexpress. http://m.aliexpress.com/search.htm?keywords=lexus+stickers There are other interior accessories just spend careful time reading a seller's review just like when shopping on eBay . Most of Aliexpress sellers are based in China but I have shopped there a few times with no hassle.
  11. Dear members see full story and more pictures on the link below. http://www.lexus-int.com/models/IS/?utm_campaign=IS&utm_source=FB&utm_content=Promoted-post-0425&utm_medium=social
  12. Vette that is a cool colour on the IS. It is a shame dealers charge a lot for programming electronic key fobs. I had to for out about £380+ vat at Mercedes once when our key died. Unfortunately these can only be sourced at main dealers as the fob has to be specifically programmed to match the car's ECU.
  13. http://www.lexus-int.com/news/new-lexus-IS-to-make-world-debut-at-2016-beijing-international-automotive-exhibition.html Hope the forthcoming version takes the fight to Audi A4, the current class leader in my opinion.
  14. I came across this update news on Toyota UK . With all the connectivity options on it, i believe it is far better than what Lexus currently offers on their vehicles. http://media.toyota.co.uk/2016/03/toyota-touch-2-with-go/ I inquired from Lexus and they agreed it is a much modern update being offered to Toyota owners; but no they are not going to offer it in Lexus cars. For someone who paid nearly £2K for Lexus Premium Navigation just 4 weeks ago! I feel gutted. Collective campaign needed.
  15. HI Sparkyx, Your car looks absolutely brilliant for its age, am sure it is a well cared for example, happy motoring.
  16. Thanks Both, i saw those and couldn't quite work out what they do, i will go and try it later.
  17. Has anyone worked out how to move the clock forward on the Le us analogue clock?
  18. Andy, Nice choice of colour, have exactly the same mine is two weeks old now.Like you still trying to work out the various functions on the Prmium Navigation. The F sport has got the best suspension.
  19. Thanks, tried that but made no difference. Local Lexus garage have asked me to bring it in at the weekend hopefully will get a result.
  20. Dan D, I guess it is still early days have been doing mostly local runs and the car just clocked 400miles today. Planning a trip to the south coast over Easter, hopefully should have a better view by then. By the way has anyone on this forum checked the Install date on their Sat Nav Map; Was srcrolling through the screen yesterday and discovered the Map was dated 2014 December. Given that each update cost £150 a time, I have queried Lexus UK, and waiting for their response.
  21. Alan, having previously owned a GS450h which was very torqey and fast 0-60 in 5.9secs, my last RX 450h didn't quite match that, so when i read that Lexus were introducing a turbo charged NX, i knew instantly that was for me. I am sure the NX300H will be equally good, but if you like a bit of fast driving like i do sometimes, i guess the 200t is the answer.
  22. I am a bit late to this discussion but can anyone help with a guide how to set Premium SatNav to always default to the Navigation page. Currently my defaults to the music screen each time i swit h the car on. Am sure there must be a way to do this. Thanks
