  1. mine is the standard Nav with the rotary controller instead of the mouse thing.

1 example would be USB, my USB stick is recognised but all the music is separated into folders but in order to move up and down the folders you have to move the rotary controller to the rleft, then scroll down to "folder up" or "Folder down" and press the rotary controller in. You have to repeat the process over and over again as when you move to the next folder it defaults back to the other screen. I have about 60 folders so it takes ages to get to the folder you want

Another example is DAB...the rotary controller doesnt do anything for changing channels. You have the up down arrows on the steering wheel to change Ensamble and then you have to use the knob on the radio to move between stations.

there are other examples but the above two seem completely crazy to me.

Same as the later CT,s as owners are reporting similar. Also there are complaints of music from USB is taking a long time to load (5 mins +).

Thankfully on mine (2011) I have the mouse and can navigate very easy with it. I haven't yet tried USB as I Bluetooth music. I may now experiment with this to see if I get this problem.

  2. To be honest the answer is yes I would. If it's Lexus full history definitely. My CT SE L Premier had 62K when I bought it and its immaculate inside and out with Lexus FSH. A friend of mine has also the same model and is also a 2011 model and he got his with 91K and Lexus FSH.His CT had been faultless like mine with only servicing done to it. These cars are extremely reliable just like the Prius. On the US CT forums owners have mileages of 200K + with no problems at all,and even on the original Battery packs(traction). That certainly tells you something about these cars. If all looks OK to you then buy one. They're a great car.

  3. I thought I do a write up on replacing the puddle light bulb in the door mirror. I didn't take photos of this but have followed and used photos from the US CT forum.

I replaced the capless bulb with a standard one and not LED.

Firstly move the mirror to its highest setting (pointing up) to gain access to the underneath of it. Using a trim removal tool or a covered flat head screwdriver prise the mirror upwards to release it from the clips. Do the same for the top of the mirror. Looks like this after.

Inside you'll see 5 screws. Remove all of them to release the outer mirror cover.

This will leave the mirror looking like this.

The puddle light unit is in the bottom of the assembly.

Release the light unit from its holder and unscrew the bulb holder to change the bulb. Which is one of these.

Before reassembly check that it works by locking the car with the remote and unlocking. Refitting is as removal but make sure the indicator lamp is aligned back up otherwise the mirror cover will not fit correctly.

Caution: When removing mirror glass be patient to part it from its clips with gentle force otherwise it'll break. When refitting apply pressure to the centre of the mirror glass until it clicks back on its mountings.

I hope this is of help to anyone if they have to do the same.

  4. Looks nice shahpoor! I was hunting for that colour originally. I agree, it's definitely a nice place to be on a trip, seems decent on fuel too considering.

any pics of your Lexus stormchaser? I think a CTR is something you have to own once just for the experience / fun but yeah long term I suppose it's what ever you are into.

couldnt agree with you more MikeyV,

great fun and the handling is sharp.

I remember when I was a kid and seen the fith gear cover on the Integra DC2 Type R and years after the EP3 on top gear. Two wild cars that looked different from the rest and got heads turning. I've been lucky enough to own both and I'm glad to have experienced them :)

i think the Lexus is one I'll have for a while now, I don't do big mileage and so far it seems really easy to live with, very happy with it

  5. Great car [emoji4]

    Economy is about right.

In my CT I use the P & G method (pulse and glide) as used on the US Prius forum. Basically get up to speed and back off the throttle a bit and glide in EV mode. Works a treat [emoji4]

  6. Hi and welcome. Same car as me but mines Arctic Pearl. Hope you enjoy the economy and luxury ride. I agree about the ride,it is a little hard but not as bad as the F Sport.

I've slightly deflated my tyres to 34psi to get a slightly better ride. It helps a bit.

The ML system has an awesome sound.

    Here's mine.
