I bought my UK 6 Speed Supra in 2001 and still have it and can't see me ever parting with it.

It's the first car I've ever had that is now starting to go up in value

That's good going, I wouldn't either after 16 years. Mine was a j spec 1993 RZ 6sp and they seem to be going for around 20k these days. You know for not having the same power as the ISF they are quick cars. I remember someone on the mkiv forum on about their GPS indicated 196 leptons running BPU. I know mine running 1.0bar pulled hard in 6th after topping out 5th on a private road.

I was following @Mark G around certain roads in North Wales and certainly at higher revs in gear times for the Gsf the car was quicker, both of us are believed by some to know one or two things about driving so I think are opinions can ce accepted as valid lower down the range and actual handling my belief is there was very little in it.

The weather at times was appalling but to the credit of these cars making safe progress was uneventful apart from brief instances some of us had with aqua planning which for those of us who can remember pre decimalisation that’s a bottom that  alternates between sixpence and halfcrown 😂

    🐀

I used to own a mkii rev4 MR2 T Bar, I know all about aqua planing without the pre decimalisation memories

Had to clean the seat after hitting mud one night.

Same for me, the last time I kept a car this long was my Supra funnily enough.

I really do need to drive it more tbo but the 4 seats tends to limit that unfortunately ☹️

I loved my TT 6 sp in red. Biggest mistake I ever made was trading it a number of years ago for 5500.

Back to the the topic though and the blue bit on the steering wheel, how come there are some with red bits?

@mike m Yeah your right only messing, find memories of that car , a GSF in that colour I’m not so sure, a Carbon RCF in it looks good.

Im guessing it’s Blue one for you when the time comes, I’m thinking Metallic Grey is something I’d consider.

The fact remains though there will probably never be huge choice !

Just had a look and it's sonic titanium I'm not keen on in the gsf but lexus Glasgow have one in sonic silver and it looks stunning. These F s in silver might catch on :whistling:

  5. Mixed feelings big rat, the blue looks great but I've always wanted a white one since seeing the first one in lexus Edinburgh. The titanium gold silver colour I'm not so sure about although I love the Rx in that colour with rose red leather and black is a nightmare to maintain.

I'm in no rush though, love my isf even though it's not a teenager anymore just turned 20k yesterday lol.

Mean I like orange , my 73 bug is orange but not sure about it in the gsf. It's certainly right in your face and no hiding out on the road.

Nice Capri btw can't remember the last time I saw one let alone an orange one.

    Higos can't help. Too expensive!

    Greenlight only do modified cover.

Another question...who here are confident that if you had a bump your insurance company would approve the repairs to be carried out by Lexus, as appose to one of their 'official' repair places? It's a question I'm currently asking Sky insurance(I'm on hold)?!

Direct line eventually agreed when the wing mirror was smashed off my RX by a bus. It took some arguing though but my main reason was it was due a service and  I wanted it done at the same time by lexus Edinburgh.

I used to use Sky insurance years ago with my imported MKiv supras. I had one issue when I'd just renewed with them , changed the car and wanted to ditch the policy because could insure the new car cheaper elsewhere. They said they wouldn't refund the policy if I cancel but I did anyway and did receive a refund. Other than that they were fine over the years.
