I was told by an air con engineer that you must use the air con as regular as you can and it will never need regassing.

Have you tried it with the boot Paul???im always setting my alarm off that way.Just close the boot <rested shut> set the alarm,leave for 1 or 2 mins,then open boot.Good luck

I always get new rubbers from the dealer and for once i can say that they are value for money.They last about a year and i never garage my car.They are lovely when the are new they are so quiet.

I have a 94GS from nearly new and the lights have never flashed on activation or anything,just the LED on the dash when set.

Hello everyone and thankyou for all your advice and support.I got my car back today,wishbone done and they also done the MOT at their place.No explanation why they did the MOT after telling me they would fail it!!.I forgot to take the old wishbone back this morning so they never got the chance to swap them over<how forgetful of me>.The manager of the place hid in his office and wouldnt come out and speak to me over the free service i wanted,so it looks like im not getting anything for the loss of use for 5 days and all the inconveniance this has caused.They wont be getting my buisness again.I think i will try Chester next time,can anyone reccomend Chester.Thanks again KELL

They are an MOT centre and the retest has been done by an independant and it failed because of the lexus boob.

Ok,I didnt get a call back til 2pm from the man at the top and in any case i was busy.So i called them back half an hour later and was told he was in a MEETING....MMMMM,arnt they always!!!!So i turned up on their doorstep and demanded to see him.Well he admitted it was their blunder and it would be rectified on wednesday so was all going well...Not until he asked me have i still got the old wish bone <which i took home>i always ask for the old parts back.I asked what he wanted it for,he said he was considering putting the old part back on.Well that just got me all wound up,i said no way you dont have my permission to do that,its your fault so get lost.He still insists i bring it with me on wednesday.I asked him would they do the MOT when the job is done,he said no and that they wouldnt pass it.IM confused.The car failed on one caliper<they replaced that>and one wishbone<they will have replaced the pair by wednesday>so i dont know why they would fail it he couldnt give me a reason..I thought i would ask about compo for the loss of use of my car for 5 days and all the messing around and waisting of my time.I am a Driving instructor and had to cancel driving lessons to sort this out.He asked what would i like,i said next service to be free.You should of seen his face you would of thought i had just asked him for the crown jewels.He said he would think about it thats all.It still goes on.

There are pins on my mk1,i had the boot badge <gold>stolen a while back.The low life who stole it used a sharp tool ,scrached the car whilst removing,must of broke the badge getting it off,2 pins broken off and left in the plastic lugs.

Would it be to much of me to ask them to do the otherside for free.

Yes ken i saw the sheet and the duplicate and it clearly stated O/s/r wish bone.

I must say ive not seen any one yet,i called them earlyer and demanded to speak to the top man,He is not in till monday came the reply and asked what is the problem??I didnt say,just that im not happy with somthing.He's to call me on monday...KELL

To be honest i dont know where to start but here i go.....2 weeks ago i took my car to a local garage where i live in Garston for an MOT,to my horror it failed on front n/s caliper and o/s/r top wish bone.Ok not a problem because ive got it booked in for a full service the following week i thought i would ask lexus to do these items so it would pass the Re test..The car went in for service as planned and i showed them the failiure sheet and that 2 items need replacing for a re test.The manager said we will give it a good going over and we will give a 2nd opinnion.They called me later and said these items do need replacing and olso kindly pointed out some other things that will be required in the near future.Ok i said do the things that need doing so it will pass the re test,simple!!!NOT....I took the car for re test this morning and guess what ...it failed...Why ???well lexus have only replaced the wrong bloody side wish bone which cost me £360.I have decided to cut out the service manager who seems very incompetent and demand to see the top guy in that place,thing is have i gone high enough,will they fob me off,i really dont know what to do.or say.and im still without an mot and no free re test because the 2 weeks is up.Please please could someone give me as much advice as possible and what rites do i have,what action should i take.THANKS KELL

Got my car back this evening,the rear upper wishbone needed replacing,The car wasnt really dirty but the service manager said that they would give it a bit of a valet as it is their policy.After spending £1500 pounds in the gaff how could i refuse.On handover of the keys it turned out that they couldnt be bothered to do it.I dont normally complain but after concidering what they had promised i brought this up with the manager.He apologized and said have a coffee and it will be ready in 10 mins...40 mins later got the car back wheels still dirty,no vac been near it,and it looks as though they have thrown a bucket of water over it.THATS SERVICE FOR YA..Well done Lexus Liverpool <Johnsons>i know who wont be getting my hard earned pennies next service.

Hi.i got my cam belt done last year at warrington lexus and they never stickerd the engine bay.In the past ive had 2 cam belts go on me.one in a ford cortina,the engine just cut out straight away so no damage,the other was in a Rover sd1 2.6 straight six and every thing was shot,valve guids,piston tops,rings,cylinder head.....was a big bill.

Thanks norkep i might try that rad weld just in case.There is no leaks and i have never had to top the coolant up....Maybe if i flush the system it could spring a leak!!

I took my car for service at Lexus Liverpool last week and they said that the radiator core is rusting.It might be a silly question but how can they tell??I dont lift the bonnet much but what i noticed was the fluid in the expansion tank is black,i didnt think it used to be.Its not a rusty colour.They quotd me £520 fitted i think for a new one Any help would be great.KELL

Hi Colin,I was wondering if they might of quoted me for both sides,they just said they will need doing for the next MOT.The main thing is the upper rear wish bones,it wont pass the MOT until these are done but the price they quoted was intense.They said the whole unit has to be replaced even though its only a small rubber bush thats failed.I think the unit is made of alloy?.How do i contact Chris?would he help me source the wish bones at a cheaper price???Thanks KELL
