Can now confirm that if you use the door unlock button instead of the door handle to open the door then hatch opens without problem - thanks sorcerer for the heads up on this one!

It means basically if the belt snaps then the pistons are going to hit valves etc. and just about destroy the engine non interference engines allegedly do not do any damage if the belt snaps.

Very good point, I usually just unlock with the drivers door handle, I am using the car later and will use the unlock button instead of the door handle and see what transpires and report back my findings later.

I have sold it so no chance to check it but the other spare that I have got worked in the is220d and is not working in the RX400h

Update. After some thought and a lot of function checking I have nailed it down to the automatic door locking function which activates when the car reaches about 20 mph is what's causing the issue, I unlocked the car and the hatch opened normally, I then left the car for 30 minutes unlocked and hatch opened normally, I then started the car and reversed down the drive and back up to parking position put car into park switched off engine and the hatch worked normally, then took the car out and returned home (doors auto locked) and the hatch would not open until I locked the car and unlocked it using the key fob or button on the dash. Not sure if this is normal or not, are their any other RX400h owners who are experiencing this?

No beep or any sign of it trying, it's the same if I don't unlock the car and if it's been unlocked and driven to destination. The only way to open it is right after I've unlocked the car or when driven to my destination and lock then unlock it.

Tried initialising the system by opening the hatch fully manually and then closing it again manually and it's just the same, will only open or close with the button or the keyfob just after the car is unlocked if its been unlocked for a while it will not open.

Didn't know there was a button, where is it located?

Auto locking is enabled but the doors lock after moving off from standing still, car is in park after stopping with ignition off after I've reached my destination. The hatch will not open unless I lock and unlock the car and then it opens normally.

I've noticed when I want to open the rear hatch it will only open from the remote or the button on the dash just after I have unlocked the car, if I unlock and drive to my destination and then try to open the hatch it will not open using the remote or the button on the dash, locking and unlocking the car is the only way I can get it open - is this normal or is there an issue with it?

No it's the folding and unfolding thats not working after been hit by something.

Found some carbon fibre covers from a seller in Thailand, about £110.00 for the pair including postage. If the the mirror can be dismantled I could use the cover from the old mirror on the new one which is the way I would prefer to go.

Update. The seller I bought the mirror off has cancelled the order stating he damaged it whilst packaging it up to send? I've bought another one but it's the wrong colour, is the mirror casing or front (which is the colour of the car) removable so you can use another one which is the right colour?

Update. Located the fuse box - passenger side footwell (UK model) had to remove the trim panel below the glovebox and spotted the fuse box immediately. Fuse numbers 75 & 76 - both fuses were blown, replaced them and both sockets now working, charges my phone/tablet without any problems but cigar lighter not working in either sockets, tried another cigar lighter (is working in my is220d) and same result, so will charge phone etc but not power the cigar lighters!

What's the best dongle and Android software to use on my Lexus RX400h without using Techstream that the dealer uses? Would also like to check the Hybrid system as well.

Found a one from an RX300 at a local breakers yard - an eye watering £240! And it's the wrong colour. I wonder how much they are from the Lexus dealer?

Yes, their is only one at present in silver without the mirror glass, was hoping to get a complete one.

I want to replace my drivers side door/wing mirror, the colour is Dark Grey Mica 1G0. Are their any good breakers yards that any of you have used in the past, they seem to be like hens teeth to find, the colour is not hard and fast as I can paint it to the right colour if required.
