  1. Phew! - It's obviously an isolated case. :shutit: Time to give some serious thought about getting a s/c myself...
  2. I just spoke to my friend who's a Lexus mechanic and he told me about a customer who had heavily modded his IS200 which included a supercharger. This particular customer had problems with the propshaft, differential and rear breaks due to the amount of power he was delivering to the rear wheels. Has anyone experienced or heard of such a problem?
  3. Thanks for everyone's help on this subject. Thanks D3fy for starting it! :D Now - do I or don't I? ;)
  4. That's good to hear D3fy. Armed with the part number, I was able to get a price from Lexus Edgware Road for the TTE Silencer (again, the parts department hadn't even heard of the product!). I was given a price of £264.43 incl. VAT (£225.05 excl. VAT) and delivery could be within a couple of days. Will I be able to get a Goldies member discount on this part? Do parts prices vary from dealer to dealer? It does seem odd to me that parts departments aren't even aware of these products. Surely aftermarket products like this could add substantial profits to Toyota's accounts so why don't they make staff/consumers more aware of them? If I were head of Toyota, I'd give every customer a brochure of aftermarket mods for their cars!
  5. Thanks guys - I guess I should call a number of different Lexus dealers then! TonyGoose - I've got the styling kit on mine :D . You don't by any chance have the part number for the TTE Silencer for the styling kit rear bumper? Cheers!
  6. I just called Lexus Hatfield to get a price on the TTE backbox and I've been told that they don't/can't/won't supply them!!!!???? What's going on?
  7. Just got back from the MK meet. It was great to meet you guys and my mate Tony is considering getting a Lexus too! Now where are all those threads on exhausts, induction kits and superchargers... Yours, Wonga
  8. Fortunately (touch wood), I've not had a bad holiday. Best holiday? Difficult to pick one really. They've all been good for different reasons. Best for sports: Skiing in Austria (or tennis in southern Spain) Best for lazing on the beach and drunken antics: Majorca Best for a cultural shock: Tokyo I'm going to Thailand in two weeks. Potentially - it could top the lot (in all categories!). Can't wait! :D
  9. Had Pizza Tuesday (obligatory when watching the footy with a few mates), have authentic (Mum's) Chinese every Sunday, having an Indian for lunch today. So err....not too fussed really!
  10. norkep - you're gonna bring your cues (plural)? In that case, I'll bring my own set of balls...haha... I look forward to having a game.
  11. Hello everyone. Anyone mind if I tag along to the MK meet? I only recently joined as a gold member (having bought my first IS200 in August 2003). It will be great to put some faces to names. As for pool...it would be rude to take everyone's money on my first meet! B)
  12. I also get a "clunk" when shifting 1-2 and 2-3 but I can live with it. However, if Lexus will "fix" it under warranty... B)
  13. I also have the Exmoor black interior and have recently noticed the exact same problem. My car's only 2 years old so I'll be mentioning it to my Lexus dealer when my service is due in August.
