I contacted the dealer about full post code recognition and they said try Lexus technical or something or other who were going to get back to me regarding this they never did

So i gave up will try and use it when i go away in a few weeks time and see how we get on with it.

I was going to update it if the update had full post code but still none the wiser.

I agree with what you are saying John when i brought my IS250 from the dealer last year the sales man showed me round the car showed me the sat nav i then said to him has it got post code recognition he then said no it has not

I later found out in the book it had but only the first 4 digits  which to me is a pain in the a**e if a tomtom can do all off the post code why cannot my Lexus.

So it seems dealers are only taught the basics in each car and hope it does for all off them.

Well they say they are looking into it but when it will be sorted is anyones guess.

I originally posted the link for the mileage and looked a nice car since reading forum members posts seems to expensive and does not mention hybrid Battery change so it would seem to me a bomb waiting to go off i know it's a Lexus built to last but.

There could be a lot off money needed to keep on the road could end up being a money pit.!!!!

Let me get this wright if when you have chopped off your old exhaust and you fit the new one and it looks c**p and and hangs down you then have to send it back to him presumably at your expense and hope he does the decent thing and sends you a new one mean while your pride and joy is stuck with no exhaust.😞

Er no in my view stick the exhaust where the sun does not shine and find a decent reputable supplier.😖

Seems in my view that blaming the post man is a get out clause.

The picture to me looks like the right hand backbox is not straight as Jami has found out at his expense ( sorry Jami not being nasty)

I would find someone else if possible and stay away from this particular seller.🙁

Yousaf i myself would let it go regarding compensation they are doing some extra work FOC and they are not making a big issue out off it just saying will be sorted that to me is enough and they will be giving you a free courtesy car.

Just my view looks ok what they did just the marks which will be sorted out was it a new bonnet they fitted by the way.

£600 for a cat-back exhaust in ST/ST is a good price but what is the sound going to be like i know some people like a lot off noise but i myself have got used to the quiet sound off the Lexus now and would not want to alter that.🙂

I see every one has fallen for my little joke about saving fuel😎

As my last car before the IS250 was a 4.2 litre V8 which was a bit more heavy on fuel i am well pleased with what i get now the fuel consumption does not worry me i buy what i need each week and use the car and enjoy it so using the PWR mode does not really worry me.🙂

Linas you are correct in what you say with the snow mode it does start the car off in second gear have used it 3 or 4 times in the winter it's ok but not brilliant winter tyres would be better in my view.🙂

Now then can i get the fuel consumption up to 100mpg!!!!😁

Just seen this GS450h for sale on the bay seems a lot off car for £4,495 mileage is high at 216,000 unless anyone knows off higher it says 2 owners serviced a few months back and looks in good nick going by pictures.

I do like the GS cars but only driven one from one car park to another so do not know much about them

If i was getting rid which aim not off the IS250 a GS450h would be one i would look at mmm.

Lee alas a spring can go just like that have had one go when moving 4 feet along the road

But by the picture off your Left rear looks ok is the Right one ok too, can you get it too a independent dealer and ask them to have a look at it might be worth it rather than just throwing money at it and hope for the best.

Er no not everybody name is John

Just a idea i assume you have not got broken springs or collapsed ones and does the car bounce when the corner is pushed down.

This is just a idea that came to me nothing more also you have not overloaded the car and knackered the rear suspension have you.

Just coming up with ideas do not mean to be nasty or critical just trying to be helpful

Never felt a great deal from this vent i find it ideal in the winter for demisting side window but never had a issue with it.

In all honesty when i looked at the bay picture it did not look quite wright to me not level and you have now had this confirmed which in one way good but in another way a pain in the back side.

I think the seller should either replace with one that is correct or refund your money as it is not wright
