Mine is the same make as peter's a Brietling but a Navitimer Heritage had it 13 years now worn at weekends and holidays got it on now beautiful watch only problem is it costs £600 pounds for a overhaul but there overhaul means stripping down to a box off bits and comes back looking like brand new.

This is similar to mine but has silver bezel mine has black.

  5. Hi all:wink3:

Er yes i would say it is a failure as has been said get pictures and you will need to report the hole to the council first before you can claim for damage to tyre.

Be warned that they will probably reject your claim but object and they should pay up.:wink3:

You are thinking how do i know all this i went down a hill and the tarmac had sunk and it was like a brick wall one after the other BANG BANG front tyre went stayed on rim rim was fine tyre looked ok but watched it going down, contacted council as i said earlier was told we think it better to spend money on reparing pot holes than pay for your tyre so objected to there decision and got cost off tyre they did not take response ability for it.

    Best off luck.

  6. Hi all.

Lovely looking motor you have there Neil hope all goes well:yahoo:

I agree with you cornershop give Lexus HQ a right going at i had a problem with the VSC on the car a month after i got it under warrant lucky and found out the problem had been on going for 2 MOT'S so gave the dealer a piece off my mind:wallbash: got to be done.

  7. Hi all.

I was lucky and i been deadly luck when i brought the Lexus  i had the Jaguar XK to part exchange as i was sick off the problems with it and was looking around for a car quick i consider a Vauxhall but decided against that and was just browsing at Autotrader looking at assorts off cars just needed to get rid off XK and saw a Lexus IS250 looked good at a dealer wanted a dealer car because off warranty.

Contacted Lexus Woodford where the car was and told it had gone:wacko: but the sales manager was telling me he had another one but better model IS 250SE-L but bit dearer i told him what i wanted to do money wise and we agreed a superb deal with me getting money back and a far superior car:yahoo:

Seems like they go faster than i ever thought must be down to the quality and reputation they have.:wink3:.

Keep looking and one will come up my advise is get from a dealer the service i had from mine was second to none better service than i had when i brought my Jaguar x-type new from the Jaguar dealer.

    Best off luck 65mike.

P.S And here is what i got she is a beauty.:yahoo:

  8. Hi all.

When i purchased the is250 from the dealer it had 29000 miles on the clock and was 8 years old and had the 1 year Lexus warranty which i needed as the VSC went wrong and costed £1000 to put wright so i instantly brought the 2 year for the price off 1 Lexus warranty admitted the car has to be survived at Lexus dealer but you can for the older cars have cheaper services done.

    Let the good times role.

  9. Hi all.

Oh dear what a pigs ear they have made off that all you can say is it's got the bits back on it.

Looks like the lights will rub when the boot is opened and the lot does not line up properly sorry but it's a bodge job get in touch with insurance and tear them off a strip.

Alas a bodger will always be a bodger how ever good he thinks he is.

And resale will be affected no matter what that bodger says and from a Lexus approved body shop which Lexus dealer did you speak to and said that they were good as i would forward these pictures to Lexus uk and ask them if they would be happy to accept a car that has been approved from one off there body shop.

In my view jack you have nothing to loose i cannot see Lexus uk being pleased with this can you.

  10. Hi all.

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works but are you sure it is a sensor from the engine as i had the VSC come on in my IS250 and the garage after a lot off searching with lap top and 2 technicians driving the car found it was a sensor in the car nothing to do with engine /  exhaust at all and it cost £ 950.00 pounds including labour over £600 for sensor lucky i had the warranty just worth looking deeper before parting with money.

  11. Hi all.

Just to put my 2 pennies worth in.

I was a proud owner off 3 jaguars before the Is and loved the first two both X-types i no not a XFR but to me they were brilliant cars servicing was dear parts were not cheap then i brought the XK4.2 lovely looking car admired from everybody BUT the costs after 10 months were crippling it had so many things wrong it was a money pit  i had the alarm sorted twice but still kept going off not good when you do shift work as i do and get home at 10.30pm and lock car and wake all off your neighbours up:wallbash:.

Dash board was a laugh sometimes rev counter worked sometimes it did not alas the list went on and on don't want to boar you with it all:sad:

As i said the XK is not a XFR but shares many items especially electrics including dashboard.

If you must buy one make sure you have plenty off money behind you as you will need it.

This is the reason the XK went and i went to the dark side and brought the IS250 not a ISF but did not want one more refined and comfortable than the Jag and not so noisy pity the navigation is not so good but cannot have it all.
