  1. I have definitely booked the 25th which is Sunday so it must be a typing error.
  2. Just got this back from the Museum it looks like there is a Ford Motors event that week-end too but here are the directions for where to park/assemble, Dear David Thank you for your booking and I have placed your meeting in the Boardroom. On Sunday 26 June we have the Ford National Show taking place so it will be very busy onsite so you may have to queue to get onsite, if you can ask your delegates to park to the rear of the venue on the Western Arena marked 6 on the site map attached. You will be able to receive 20% off any refreshments in the cafe using your 20% discount car club stickers which will be given to you on arrival which will also give everyone complimentary access into the Museum. Alternatively I can arrange to have catering/refreshmetns served to the room although this will be more expensive and you will not receive the discount - please let me know. Have a good evening With kind regards Susan Susan Evans
  3. I've filled out the form to book a place for us. I have opted for the option for individual members to pay on admission. So provided I have filled out the form correctly let's just establish that it is Sunday 25th June at the Museum. I've stated an estimated arrival time of 10.00 am but I'm sure they won't mind any arrival time. It looks like it is £10 per person if everyone is okay with that. Let's hope the weather is nice to us.
  4. I received this reply from the Museum, what's everyones thoughts? Hi David Thank you for your enquiry the special discounted rate for car clubs is 12 and the organiser is then free so even if you don't come up to numbers the most you will pay is £10 x 11 . Would you be kind enough to complete the attached form and return it to me and I will book your group in for you. 5. It's 220 miles for me too, and probably more for some others. As my car struggles to do 600 miles a year I'm looking forward to giving it a nice long run. Could the first person turning up find us a nice quiet/remote corner of the place so we can display all our cars together please. Just an update I did send an e-mail to the Museum informing them of our plans
  6. Sounds good, as mentioned I think I'll contact the Museum just to give a courtesy call about us.
  7. I don't think there will be enough of us to worry their day to day running of the place do you? As I got my refund from C+M I think this will be perfect plus no time restraints. If we say meet up 11 am it will give everyone a chance to drive up at leisure without having to get up at silly o'clock.
  8. I'm thinking that may be a better idea if I'm honest. As Rob stated there is an event on that week-end. Just applied for a refund on my C+M ticket so if everyone is in agreement we'll change the venue.
  9. I'm beginning to think that Caffiene and Machine is overpriced for 3 hours as has been mentioned. So is it worth trying another venue.
  10. Hi, yes it is still at Caffine and Machine and the postcode is CV37 7NS. I've booked a slot from 10.00 am onwards, it's a 3 hour slot so I'm not sure what happens after. https://caffeineandmachine.com/whats-on/
  11. Okay, I have managed to book a ticket for Sunday June 25th 10.00AM that should give us time to get there and have a breakfast as the ticket is £10 and you get £5 off your food. So shall we start a list? 1 B1RMA
  12. I think you've got that dead right, had a good look at mine today and it does seem to be that material. I guess us RCF owners dodged a bullet with this one. Particularly with Lexus denying any liability, bit surprised by that I must say. First bit of negative comments I heard about the RCF and GSF cars. I think I'd be very unhappy with it occurring bordering on incandescent with Lexus avoiding any acknowledgement then lack of sorting it.
  13. Just had a look, looks in good condition and a sensible price.
  14. No, it's just that C and M looked to be set up for car displays. Maybe if everyone is keen to have meetings we could try there later. There was a very nice gathering down here in Hampshire last year, my thoughts were to maybe get it a bit more central so more people may attend.
  15. The ticket system does seem a bit confusing and also charging £10. In conclusion those who fancy coming along just bear in mind the date of Sunday 25th June for the gathering and as soon as the £5 ticket becomes available we can let everyone know and hopefully book ourselves in.
  16. I tried to book too. It looks like June 25th is too far ahead for their booking system. Bit rubbish eh.
  17. Update fro anyone considering coming along to Cafeine and Machine. It looks like they don't do car clubs at weekends in the summer. So what each of us has to do is contact C and M via their website and book your car in. I'm assuming that Sunday 25th June is okay for those uf us who want to come. This also means that anyone regardless of having an F model or not can book and come along, so a bit of a general Lexus gathering for us all with the odd F model thrown into there mix. Might be worth starting a list. I'm going to book a place tonight. 1st B1RMA
  18. It looks like this is a fairly big site so if anyone else fancies coming along I guess they can cater for that. If we can have a section for our F cars allocated then it should be fine.
  19. In my request for details I've asked for Sunday June 25th so if we proceed with that date it's far enough ahead to plan or know if any of us have prior engagements.
  20. I have been in touch with Caffine and Machine which is a well known venue for petrol heads. It is situated near Oxford, they do breakfast and lunch there. I believe the entry fee is £5 which goes towards the cost of your food. I'm waiting to hear back from the events manager for all the details. Does this sound okay?
  21. It would appear that there is the odd hiccup as mine was cancelled initially. Would it be worth trying another dealership? once is unfortunate, twice is suspect, third time is taking the ****
