  1. Well, 250 miles in and the seat is crippling me. Just can't get a position where it's not digging into my lower back. This could be the shortest and most expensive ownership ever.
  2. Well that's a pain of true. I've already noticed the camera misses quite a few signs and is often slow to react.
  3. Is there anybody who can solve the mystery of the sat nav speed limit display. (Dealer can't work it out). My Nav is not displaying speed limits. The menu option is greyed out as shown in the attached pic. Nothing I do gives me the option of selecting it. I'm baffled
  4. I don't find it particularly difficult to use (despite the convoluted menus), it's just that you definitely need to take your eyes of the road for prolonged periods when using it.
  5. I'm warming to the car after accepting that I won't be overtaking anything anytime soon 😏 The infotainment really is as frustrating as people say. Can't get the current speed limit to show up on the sat nav screen, despite going through every available setting. It's nice that it will display text messages, but awkward that there doesn't appear to be a voice command to get it to read them out. The mouse pad really isn't compatible with using it on the move. Overall it's still a thumbs up so far.
  6. I'd like access to your POIs. Mine doesn't bring anything up at the moment
  7. I’ve had a fiddle and adjusted the seat to a better position. Can’t get the online functions working. I haven’t got the V5 yet, so can’t get a code off that and the device ID on map updates shows as invalid. If i try and look at POIs on the map it just comes up as ‘searching’. All very frustrating. Nothing major in the grand scheme of things, just takes the shine off a bit
  8. Yes. Decided it wasn't worth stumping up for the leather. Amazing that a car at this price didn't have lumbar support. Guess I'll have to fiddle with seat and see if I can get at least a bit comfy
  9. I need the V5 to register on the App. The website asks to use the map update code, but it doesn't work
  10. So I’ve got my new NX home and have been sat going through all the menus and settings. A couple of questions have arisen. 1. I’ve got the premium pack with electric seats. Coming home I was getting back ache due to excessive lumbar support sticking into my back. However, on reaching down to sort it, I found there was no lumbar adjustment button. All the manuals I’ve read, including the one that came with the car show lumbar adjustment. I’m pretty disappointed as the seat was very uncomfortable on the way homeE Edit- Just looked on auto trader and none of the cars have lumbar support adjustment. Odd, because the manual clearly shows one. Think I'm going to have to buy a nice cushion!! 2. I created a Lexus account and tried to verify the vehicle on line, but it doesn’t recognise the vehicle code. Just too new or has the site got issues. Other than that, everything is fine 🙂
  11. Dealer have said to make one payment then do it. I'd rather withdraw in the first 14 days and avoid any charges at all. I'll give the finance department a call once I've got the car. Thanks
  12. I’ve bought my car on a pcp in order to get the £2000 dealers contribution. I was totally upfront that I intended to pay it off and they seemed fine with that. I’ve previously withdrawn from an Audi PCP within the first 14 days to avoid any charges and there wasn’t a problem with that. However, the Lexus dealer is suggesting that I need to make a payment before paying it off (which will incur some charges). Has anybody had any issues with withdrawing from an agreement and was there a suggestion you’d need to pay the contribution back.
  13. I’ve just used Carwow to get a substantial discount on a new NX. The difference between their original cost to change and the final one (after presenting a Carwow quote), was £4000. The discount off list was considerable. I got a free service as well. Took a few weeks to get there though
  14. That’s great, thanks. Strange one on the manuals. Never bought a car that came without them.
  15. I pick my NX up next week and have been browsing the online manuals. I’ve noticed a section that states the nav can display speed camera warnings. Is this standard on premium nav or do you need to download them from somewhere. I’ve also read that you don’t get supplied with physical manuals and have to use the online versions. I’m one of those who is actually sad enough to rtfm and would much prefer paper copies. Are they available from anywhere?
  16. Having just bought an NX, I decided the substantial tax saving of a luxury was worth forgoing the ‘sporty’ look of the F-Sport. I would have ordered the sport pack to dechrome the car, but you can’t get the tan interior with that spec, which is a real shame.
  17. If I were you I'd get a quote on carwow and take it into your dealer. I've just ordered a brand new luxury with premier pack for less than year old examples are advertised for. There's some quite big discounts to be had on new ones
  18. Well, I’ve bit the bullet and ordered one today. A luxury with premier pack. I would’ve had a F-Sport but there’s no way I’m paying £500/yr to tax it. Wanted one fairly soon to preserve the trade in value of my car, so they found one in the UK. It was a three month wait for a factory order and they estimated I’d lose another £3-400 on p/x figure. The dealer thinks it may have the protection pack, but aren’t sure so I’ll be getting that for free if it’s fitted. No pressure at all and I think they would have preferred a factory order. I feel I managed to squeeze as much as I could out of them, plus got a free service as well. Just had to buy it on a pcp to get the £2000 contribution, but I told them I’d be paying that off straight away. Still some reservations about the CVT, but I don’t think there’s a long term future for 3 litre diesels and was concerned about the future value of the Audi. It’s a shame because it’s a great car.
  19. I guess I've been lucky. I've owned French, German, British, Japanese and never had one go wrong. I love the torque of my current car, but need something a bit more practical thanks to family and dogs. I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance that you 'get used' to the CVT, rather than always hate it
  20. It certainly was a new experience. While I knew the fuel consumption of the Lexus was mid 30s, it’s still kind of disappointing to get less mpg than a 3 litre, 282bhp diesel. I’m having real trouble finding something with similar interior quality as the Audi and the Lexus comes close. I’m looking at a standard spec with premier pack as I want to keep it under the £40k list tax threshold so I’ll miss my HUD. Mesa red with tan interior is my preferred colour choice. I think I need to go back and have another drive before making a decision.
  21. Hi Just joined the forum. I'm looking to change my A7 3.0 diesel Quattro and the NX300 was a strong contender. I had one for 24hrs and am really struggling to get past the racket the CVT made when joining a motorway. There were a few other compromises, but adjusting to the gearbox is my main concern. Now you've had it a while, does it continue to bother you at all
