  1. I got pulled over about a year ago because a cop THOUGHT i was speeding????? coming back from a mates through central southampton about 1:00am, Came to a cross road and the light was red, slowed down and almost came to a stop, light went green so planted my foot and accelarated up to 40mph (the speed limit) and as i came round the corner there was a cop standing in the middle of the road. he heard the car from round the corner and pulled me over as he could hear that i was giving it some beans. i noticed that he didn't have a speed camera in hand so knew i would be fine! cop: 'im pulling you over as i believe you where speeding' me: 'well i know for a fact that i was not speeding' cop: 'can you please step out of the car sir' proceeded to check the car, tyres, ran a insurance check, ran a check on me. Funny thing was while running all these checks a motorbike went past doing 100+ and he just watched as it flew past, the biker even waved. i was laughing my head off He said to me' i think we might have to go after that guy when i have finished running these checks', 15 minutes later and i went on my way...............pretty certain he never got that biker as he would have been in scotland by the time he finished with me sorry for the long essay but it made me chuckle :shutit: Jason :P
  2. easily one of the best investments to you lex!!! i had mine done and could not believe the difference it makes, felt like a completely different car! i listened to people preaching about them for a long time and thought it could not make much of a difference but after getting some coilovers i decided that it might be worth a try and finally got mine done! all i can say is if you have not had it done then get it done!!!! Im sure there is not 1 person that has had a bad comment about it, speaks for itself really!!!!! Jason :P

  17. Just sent money to ya Dave :) not too sure if my bro will be coming along as he has had a few problems with his car he was coming back from getting new exhaust system fitted yesterday and his car decided to dump all of his engine oil over the M25. If the place sell out then fair play but he does want to go but can't afford it as his car might need alot of work, if it is all ok then he will try and sort a space if its not too late............. Jason :P
  18. Dave i will send money to you on Saturday evening when i have my girlfriends card details ...........was there room for my bro??? Jason :P
  19. 102db i think ! the starlet is now down to about 95 db at 3/4 revs except when its running full boost and exhausting through the screamer pipe, at that point its any ones guess, but you cant actually measure it, i havent been stopped yet Thanks Bazza, mine will be fine but just thinking if my bro does come along his is around 115db at 3/4 although his has been dropped of today to have a full race system made up so should be alot lower than what it is at present. This is looking to be a good day, well worth the 200+ miles each way Jason :P
  20. Just a quick one..........anybody know what the db limit is for this track, although if Bazza can use his Starlet any other car will be fine!!! :P Jason :P
  21. good point, however most trackdays insist that you wear a Crash helmet conforming to BS6658 Type A ( blue & white BSI sticker), AFR ( red & white BSI sticker) or Snell SA2000. most motorcycle helmets are not conforming as they have a different type of use standard applied ! you can buy proper conforming helmets for around £70 from demon tweeks etc the ones rented out are generally in very good condition, are sanitised before, and you can wear a under helmet balaclava underneath if you have lice or greasy hair Mine has Certification, thats why i paid a little more...........well £50. :) Thought that would probably be the case so thats why i forked out a little more and got one that is approved. Mine was £175, reduced to £50 because it was last seasons model, nothing has changed on the new model apart from the colour scheme. :) My bro has forked out over £400 on a simpson helmet (same as the stigs!!!) but i find the one i have much better as the visabilty is 100% better than his, even he said the same! :P Jason :P
  22. I bought a helmet for £50 a few months ago, specifically for track days, for use with the kit car on the motorway and i do alot of Go-Karting also. I would rather have my own helmet than use a rental one as some of the ones i have used over the years have been You can pick up a entry level helmet from a motorbike shop for £30+, and then may get you doing more track days as well. :) Jason :P
  23. if we have space he is welcome. I will need payment from all interested shortly. Cool. Can payment wait till the end of the month when i ,...............well,...........get paid. :shutit: Jason :P
  24. Im still in! :P October will give me some time to get strut braces, arb's and under chasis braces by that time :) Can my bro come along as well??? haven't asked him yet but im sure he will be up for it, he drives a MR2 Turbo currently at 567bhp Jason :P
