  1. makes sense i guess! The way things are going we will soon have a LOC'er in each class
  2. Thanks Jason, So looking at that the gti-16 should be a class D so might be worth the £300 the car costs to buy :winky: There are a few of them in that class. just need it MOT'd really .....as I said above get someone to share it and the running costs are halved..... The cars taxed and MOT'd mate and a cheap way of getting going me thinks?? And got to start somewhere Do you think the AE92? Corolla gti-16 would make a good 1st car to give it a go Dave?? With a few mods of course? Why not enter your lex mate??? you will be in the same class as me then! No need to push it to destruction, plus you have two IS's anyway your greedy git! :winky:
  3. Class A1 - Above 1600cc with aftermarket Turbocharger Class A2 - Above 1600cc with standard frame turbocharger Class B - below 1600cc with turbocharger Class C - Above 1600cc N/A - my class Class D - Below 1600cc N/A Class E - Diesel Class F - below 1000cc N/A...........currently only one person in this class, so you at least finish second!
  4. You've already got a head start on that front with no sunroof ! :D Everyone's a joker!
  5. a razor :P Good tip Bazza, if i actually shave i may save 1g of weight!
  6. Think i have just found what Sarah is getting me for Crimbo Don't care if its wet or dry, count me in :)
  7. Hats off to you Jason........... As I said on the day have a think about joining Barrie & me in the Toyota Sprint Series..........£80 per event Take the seats out fit a lighweight drivers seat and your power to weight ratio will not be far from a full fat IS200 s/c Already thought about that on the way home Dave and im about 80% yes at the moment, even if i finish last in every event i get to do some great tracks at a dirt cheap price!!!! and i will be able to get the car to a level i want. As discussed before i want to keep it N/A but get it to handle on rails with maybe a little more power :P Jason :P would be great to see you entered. You'll get a lot of press attention and have a good laugh get your Toyo tyres ar trade prices as well........... your main gain will be lightening the car............look for lightweight wheels.............you can get some that are 4kg each..............power to weight ratio.............way to go bit of a budget buster but alloy front brake calipers are a good idea ...also give you bigger rotors to brake later & herder.............harder even........... Think i may just do it then Dave! :) What do i need to do to register? and when is the first dates so i know when to be ready by? Don't think budget will stretch to bigger brakes yet but i can start looking for parts and loosing weight now! Jason :P
  8. Hats off to you Jason........... 9. If i can drive for 4 hours and over 200 miles to get there then surely most other people would have to drive less miles! I left my house at 4am to get there for 8 and spent the hole day driving and then drove home, all on my own. At the beginning of the day i had second thoughts about actually turning up because the weather looked crap and i really couldn't be bothered to drive all that way...............but once i had done a few laps i was loving it and couldn't get enough, hence the 24 runs i did. I think people shouldn't be put off by thinking they need to push their cars to the limits because as barrie has said you DONT!!!! I went away with a better understanding of handling my car and had great fun and thats what track days are about, the only let down of the day was the fact that there where no other lexus (other than dave) on the track. Even Chris and Aztec turned up to watch and i think that was enough to get them interested in joining in next time!?!?!? Jason :P
  10. Yeh i know what your saying Steve, One of the main reasons i dont take mine on, is incase i damage my car as i just cant afford to replace it at the moment if i did do some serious damage to it but maybe next year if things pick up i'll invest in another car and then have a go at it as its one of the things i'd love to do :D I took mine on the track and if i had crashed it i couldn't afford to replace bits, i think thats maybe why there where so few Lexi there??? People don't have to go round like nutters and force themselves to over do it, i pushed it as much as i felt needed but im sure i could have pushed it more!!!! I have gained better knowledge of how my car handles in the wet and controlling it when it does go a bit sideways, days like this give you the oportunity to see what the limitations are of the car in a safe Environment, and there was plenty of run off if things did go wrong! Jason :P
  11. We need pics of the camera ! It was this lovely camera & it served its purpose today So you have stopped saying its your girlfriends camera then, finally owned up to it being yours! LOL Great pictures Jon, wondered why your girlfriend kept taking pictures of my car :shutit: Jason :P
  12. Work has already begun she has started getting naked :winky: We need to get more IS200's entering these type of events, this was originally meant to be a lexus event and it was only me and Dave that entered with lexus cars. I understand some of the other members don't have lexus anymore and keeping these members with us even though they have left the lexus brand shows how friendly we are but i can't believe no other IS200's where competing!!!!! Jason :P
  13. Was nice to meet you Paul, was close between me and you but you clinched it in the end :P Next time gadget!!!! although by then i expect you will have it chipped :D
  14. I loved it, couldn't get enough!!! i think i was smilling most of the day, as most of you saw, well worth the 4 hour + drive there :shutit: i have done a few track days before but this was the first in the lexus, didn't think it would be any good on track but i was so shocked. Handled really well with the coilovers, struts etc. Im now in two minds, do i keep her as is and add a few more bits or go for the full on stripped out track racer??? Never would have thought about stripping it out but the cars pretty old anyway and prob not worth much, the only thing thats stopping me is the fact it will prob effect the resale value, not that i am going to sell it any time soon. Hmmm, choices
  15. I was waiting for someone to ask that lol.. ;) Nobody seems to have mentioned your girly pink camera yet???

    Airbox Part

Think your right mate. Anyone? Got one here! yours free of charge, if you pay postage :P
  17. Does make me laugh looking at the pictures, look well funny those wheels Found them in the garage and chucked them on the car, was going to go over to the drift area and rip them to shreads but it was wet and they would of taken ages to destroy. Going to get some slicks for them i think Jason :P
  18. Just got in this second, completely knackered! If only there was a trophie for most amount of runs, yes its true i got 24 runs in, i thought i did pretty well considering we should of only had 8 runs. :D I also came last time wise, my quickest lap was 74.090, although i thought i did pretty well when you look at some of the other cars that where there and what power they where putting out. and i was running pretty much standard n/a car. Spoke to Dave for a bit and im thinking of entering Toyota sprint series in N/A class next year Nice to see old faces and meet new ones, and i had a good bit of competition with Paul to see who was quickest, he beat me I had a really good time but would have been nice to see some more is200's there so we could of compared times of similar cars............I WAS THE ONLY IS200 ON THE TRACK!!!! Jason :P
  19. Yeah will do Going to have a think next week with Raykhan and think of a day or night? but will let you know! Im in mate, workload depending :) just let me know when and what day :) J dot lockyer at gmail dot com Jason :P

  22. Think im going to be the slowest one there oh well, all fun i guess Just checked my helmet, its TUV approved but no other stickers on it???? Is this going to be ok Dave??? if not i might have to try and bring my bro's one!
  23. only 507 odd miles away from me then Ok the 507 miles there would be rubbish, but wow the journey home would be the best drive of your life!!!!!!
