  1. Just back from a 700km weekend trip and I am amazed by how effortless the car drives and the comfort is just next to none. It's all smiles and half tired from cruising but suspension was tested via some regional roads and seems to be handling pretty good. Only con = fuel consumption (but I will just have to bite a bullet on this because its worth every penny 😊)
  2. Thank you both, I saw that part in the manual as well and I hope they won't start turning car on/off. He did radiator last week on another LS600H but not sure if it involved lifting it.
  3. Thank you @The-AcreI will note that and share with mechanic incase he is not aware.
  4. Hi All, I am getting my complete front bushings replaced next week (10 of them and hopefully all the control arms and ball joints are in good condition.) Is there anything I need to worry about in terms of car being lifted on the lift and how it may mess up airbag suspension or any of the fancy sensors Trying to avoid any issues arising from fixing another. Thank you in advance for all pointers. LS600H 2007 (bushings from Nisto which got good feedback from other buyers on Amazon).
  5. Fingers crossed you will be able to get it programmed, still struggling to get v16 of TIS that will ship in a week as I need to read injector stats on my other Lexus. Seems like handy software to have. Not selling the card, I am afraid 😉
  6. Sorry for getting back late, my key card is Denso 14ABC looks pretty new not sure if its replacement or was just barely used.
  7. I have one as spare which came with my LS600H, I will check the part number on Monday and share if it helps. But yes 07 came with one and it works though not credit card thin 😊
  8. Hi David, how did you manage to get the last one out. About to embark on this dreaded task. Hoping it will go easy enough but preparing for the worst. Cheers. @Carl911 any chance you have photos of the tool how it looks where it connects to the injectors please?
  9. You mean you can't find the location of 5th injector, did you follow the fuel line going to the back of the engine? It's literally next/opposite the firewall, if you are European version then remove the battery and its tray and you will have more access to it.
  10. Hi Morph, I feel your pain. Same issue started happening to my is220d as well. I opened the intake side of turbo while cleaning the hoses and there was little speck of oil and breather pipe was dryish. Don't think I am getting oil into the turbo. Definitely noisier around the injectors like a clicking noise, so annoying but seems to have gotten worse. It has always been there like tuppets but got used to it. Waiting to get the injectors pulled after reading data using Techstream hopefully weekend.
  11. Hi there, In same boat as you. Car only started to have this issue over a week ago and the smoke is so bad cars behind have to pull back. My 5th injector was removed from ECU and DPF removed. That was over a year ago and never had issues. Now I can't seem to find the cause, waiting for a friend to bring tools to remove injectors and also Techstream. Seems a bit noisy on the injectors since the issue stated. OBD2 scanner returning no stored codes. After a hard drive maybe 5-10min, no power loss but exhaust smell of metal overheat and like unburned fuel. EGR valve was wet (but relatively clean carbon wise) when I opened it, The previous times I have always cleaned it, it was bone dry. Wonder what's making it wet.
  12. Hey Jomjom did you ever get to the bottom of this issue with car smoking? My DPF was removed and 5th injector turned off, car has been driving perfect but started smoking right after refuelling. Now seems like there is fuel issue (loss of ignition or misfire ) when it gets to temperature. Exhaust smells like melting metal maybe very high temperature. Cheers
  13. Hi Everyone, New member based in Ireland, Just took ownership of a lovely 07 Lexus. Enjoying the comfy relaxed ride sitting at 1.5k revs in motorway 🙂 Currently experiencing little heating issue but hoping to get that sorted soon. Thank you 🙂
  14. Hi Everyone, [ New member from Ireland, Already read pretty much 90% if not all posts related to this issue before joining ] I have an issue which has startled me, I know my way around cars have done some descent work on different engines but this has left me speechless. Issue: Car drives smooth and effortlessly if cruising, Just finished a 500km round trip and car gauge only went into red when i was overtaking on harsh acceleration or about 20+ % incline along the motorway/road, Coolant seem to be boiling/pressurized at least as i feel the pressure release when opening the radiator cap. Some gurgling noise on the dash centre panel when heating is on high. Coolant seem to leak from overflow pipe and then blown all over. When topping it up only takes about 500ml roughly. Fixes so far: Change of Waterpump, Thermostat, Coolant flush, Serpentine belt, Radiator cap, Full service including brakes. Potential Causes ???? ? Headgasket -: Having experienced failed headgasket before [Renault] where white smoke comes from exhaust, or overheating within few km and loss of cabin heat {The Lexus is not showing any of the following except cabin heat loss which is fixed by mostly topping up coolant or gear down into high revs which seem to get the heat going again [airlock maybe] } ? Carbon build up on top of pistons thereby causing pressure within piston and cyclinder head {That's what local mechanic claimed after changing everything, I didn't get the concept though; how this will cause intermittent overheating under load. ?Coolant temperature sensor :- Wouldn't this delay thermostat opening then, if it's not working properly ? The top hose always has some pressure as it is hard to press when the cap is on. Any pointers are much appreciated. Thank you 🙂
  15. @Jordan2019 is you top hose building pressure ? Driving to Dublin last weekend and cabin heating was ok pretty much to and from Cork. Overheated maybe 4 times lasting about a minute tops when going uphill or overtaking at 120kph.I had to turn Air con and full heat for gauge to drop. Gurgling noise on expansion tank, Coolant spill and Fans blaring when i stop. Changed : Water Pump, Thermostat, Radiator Cap, New Belt yesterday but still gauge goes up especially when under heavy load (harsh acceleration ) Any ideas what could be the cause ? No oil in coolant, No water in oil, no white smoke and no loss of power 😞
