  1. If it's the issue where it feels like theres a notch when moving the wheel off centre at motorway speed or locks up/feels stiff after a long turn. It's either a new rack or new steering ECU to resolve it. There's a TSB for this state side. Sometimes a new steering ecu or refresh of it leads to resolve. From reading around on forums it's a funny issue that's never truly been pinpointed. Some have changed the ecu and it has fixed it, others have had the rack changed at Lexus which has fixed the issue

  2. I've seen it, went to collect a car for a family member from there last month, the owner had a smile on his face when we turned up in my car and we had some nice conversations. It's a tidy example from what I could see looking around the outside and inside. The staff there were fantastic to deal with. It might need a waterpump from conversations with the owner of Sarah Cox cars. Having seen it in person, I'm surprised it hasn't sold yet. I didn't ask about the service history.

  3. @Jon Dee I have an 08 ISF. Early cars like mine are undersprung and overdamped which causes a firm ride. 2013-2014 model suspension were the best OEM and they do bolt onto earlier cars, the rear bump stops will need changing though. Interesting reading your thoughts on the HKS suspension. Other F owners rate the HKS Hypermax S/X suspension highly in terms of comfort whilst keeping the body stable

  4. @NothernDan my drivers side manifold failed not long after I purchased mine 4 years ago.

It ticked on cold start, the give away was that once the CAT heat cycle was completed it got slightly quieter. Then when driving from cold with the window down, the tick increased in frequency with the engine rpm, then as it got warmer it required more throttle to make it tick eventually it sealed once hot.

This was all finally confirmed when I borrowed a friend's borescope and saw soot (carbon deposits) on the heat shield around the manifold.

  5. Anything can happen including mistakes or human intervention. It's worth a shot having the diff fluid changed and making sure the correct one is used.

Last time my ISF went in for a service at the local dealership, the service department couldn't even tell me what had been done to my car. In my view Standards are slipping at certain dealerships and when they want £150 an hour labour charge, a certain level of care and attention is expected and should be achieved.
