30 mpg with a top box and 500 miles on French toll motorway in gs450h, and a load of wine. -
I used a lot of POR15 on my Saab 900. If applied correctly it does work well. Only problem is keeping the lid of the paint tin clean or it will never come off again.

Drove back yesterday. Another 650 mile straight run. Car was flawless. After spending the day in the seats I could still walk. Also nice to have the fantastic headlights in the dark. Thought my eyes were getting too old for night driving with the old Saab. Motorway driving with a top box gives exactly 30mpg. I only saw one other GS in the whole month! Plenty of RX's though. Driving thru the French Jura on country roads I note the hybrid is perfect. Hit the 30mph village limit and the engine turns off. Dawdle thru the village and emit zero pollution for the dear residents.

About 5 am the ploughs were out. Then some local kids in their Tesla came to do donuts in the carpark.

Also had gs450h since early this year. Averages about 36mpg mixed driving. I find I drive it to max the mpg now, knowing it can do the business if need be. Just wants to be driven lazily.

Two weeks of wall to wall sunshine. Was 30 degrees yesterday. Weather forecast is for a week of wet stuff. Snow by the weekend. Not so smug now.

I am also in a mountain village above Sion. Will be doing the Furka Pass for my glacier fix. Walked on ice today on my 6 hour hike above the treeline and could see the slightly rubbish Wildhorn Glacier.

Stopped for three toilet breaks. Whole idea was to avoid catching anything in France as we are here for rest of the month. Set off from near Brighton at 7am and arrived in the Valais at 9:30pm

650 miles in one day in the gs450h. Seats were pretty comfortable. Roof box deducts 15% from fuel economy. Only managed 30mpg but mostly on motorways at 80. Will post some pictures soon to make you all hate me.

I know a guy who paid £1500 for a 2007 gs450h because it had a "failed" battery pack. I think that is at the extreme end of bargaining.

Which is exactly why a gen 3 450h should be bought. The faff and ongoing expense as these tpms systems age is something to consider.

Bought a 2009 one. Had a weeping radiator. New OEM one cost £450. Also needed exhaust work at back end. £600 for y section and boxes in stainless. TPMS is not an MOT fail so ignore it.

One of my fobs will be £50 delivered. I had a spare that got lost in the post for two weeks. Bought two extras and then original turned up! You would have to send it off to be deprogrammed IF it is correct for your car
