  1. What is the status with old battery recycling issue in Sweden?
  2. I don't mind if dealer does it. because responsibility for repair is dealers then, not someone elses.
  3. When I was considering to buy mine, I was looking for c-class or 3 series then. But it was about 10k more expensive than the is300h. So, I think when time will come for car change, it's more likely I will repeat that. I don't think that future is for fully electric(I mean 50-100years), unless we are not talking about city only car.
  4. I would fight till death for repair my car at dealer ONLY!!!! I don't think that you would still have a warranty if you do different. kjfjkadskdjvvfavjafd;n Sorry, wanted to say more, but because of anger foam started to coming out of my mouth, just remembered my past expierience...
  5. Regards to road conditions, definitely not rough style of driving, most likely not previous owner because at the time when I bought the car everything was alright. I'm not sure about the propshaft joint but in front axle was very good. But I do agree that amount of speed bumps is a real trouble for suspension reliability. Brakes have been well maintained but it still didn't help. Totally agree with the chips on the the hood or wheel arch but my paint issue is in the middle of the inside engine bay. Fuel economy. no, no dip in winter. I will check again after I will replace bushings, tires and do alignments. I'm not denying that Lexus is still reliable car but it's definitely not an obvious win comparing the others. These MOT statistics doesn't make sense at all. MOT just says that the cars safe enough to use, but it doesn't say that it is in good condition. It's very subjective. I have extended warranty and MOT passing at Lexus dealer. When I pointed on my front axle issue, they checked and say that it's good and gave me Mot, meantime it's not good. Tire skipping is definitely not good when I turn the steering to lock. That's why I always sceptic about warranty and MOTs.
  6. Sure. Currently my car has about 45k miles on a dash. No road accidents. Very well maintained and beloved. 1 Front axle clear balljoint/bushing free play. Still has to be solved, but more likely it's control arms rear bushings, I've spotted cracks in rubber there. 2 Propshaft and differential rubber joint big cracks and it already has free play in there. The most pain about it that you can't get it sepparately from propeller shaft. Probably because of it's ballanced on factory as a one complete unit. 3 Front brake pads accesories failure. Meantime the pads are not even at half life from new. 4 Transmission. at speed of +- 55mph light vibration noise. 5 Tyre wear issue. I know that it's common to that model, but I totally disagree that it is normal. 6 Weak paintwork. rust spot begin to appear. Have no doubt that it's factory painted. 7 Decreasing fuel economy issue. When I bought the car it was about 45mpg. now it's 39mpg. I wouldn't add this to that list, but somebody said here about clogging dpf and egr. so I have no doubt that this issue is because of clogging fuel injectors, oxigen sensors and e.t.c. I find it comparable problem.
  7. Well, I own mine for 4 years. It was 20k on the clock at purchase date. I completely satisfied with it, but I can't say that reliabiltiy is something exceptional. Just as good as other good car makers. I would recomend you to begin from thinking where are you going to maintain and repair your next car. I mean at dealer or by yourself or at garage. Merc has more spare parts makers to choose out there, lexus, expensive OE or cheap sh*t. P.S. I had some issues with my car which a bit disapointed me, not much, but I never had the small starter battery issue, even when I stuck in europe for half year during covid, while my car was standing without movement all that time. And the battery is still factory!!!)))
  8. Mine was fixed for about 2 hours including carwash at Maidstone branch.
  9. If I were you, I would really be worried about bonnet poppers. I had a bad experience with a different car. that safety systems has a separate control unit, where all data from fired poppers is stored. This could mean that buy and put the new poppers might be not enough, it's possibly you will need a new control unit(srs ecu) or remap the old one.
  10. That's the all confusion is all about. My last photo was from the product instructions manual. But the website says different.
  11. Oh sh*t, you are right. I actually haven't seen that kind before. All I bought before was meant to be used in vents.
  12. Because of the difference in performance. Off course it's a matter of preference and for most of people it's not an issue. But after I had complicated situation on a road because of that, for me it's an issue. And for me, my high brand Dunlops 2019 by now are not tyres anymore, but just piece of black round hard rubber, even with it's 5.5mm.
  13. Yes, it has flexi tube in the set, and all you need is just put the tube in vents and spray. I haven't used it yet, so I don't know if it is foam or not. But as far as I remember, if it's foam, 30 min should more than enough for waiting. don't worry about the liquid in vents, as long as you wouldn't turn it into floods.
  14. It's not difficult to do it at home if now how to.
  15. it's not even good when you have 4 the same but different in age tyres. But to wear different tyres...... are you sleep well?)))))
  16. After I was looking for my car before I bought it, I realized that "Dealers approved car" doesn't mean anything valuable. You can't imagine what kind a rubbish I've been offered to buy under that "approved...". One car had two different paintjobs(very low quality) on top of oem paint, so three in total in 1 meter radius. Then the seller said if it was repainted, the screws would have marks from tools. After I pointed on every single screw had those marks(they were too lazy to touch up paint them), the answer I get - "I don't see anything...". And etc. So After I looked at about 15 cars (all "approved...") I had to increase budget from £12000 to £18500. And only 2 cars was worth to buy, at least for asked price.
  17. That £10 annual tax made me stop to considering to upgrade to facelift model)))
  18. I don't see that they make Turanza 6 in rear size. Actually that is a trouble to find for IS 18's all 4 the same.
  19. Also have them fitted on rear. Positive - good wear performance, very good rim protection. Negative - a bit noisy, extremely low grip(I have wheel spins on wet roads even in eco mode), Bridgestone's rubber cracking issue.
  20. I wouldn't do this if I were you. switch to smaller rims if hard ride is critical for you. I always try too keep 36psi, because there's strong feel of flat tyre ride otherwise, which I find very annoying. Also check your tyres age. Mine are 2019 production date. by now I'm using them for 4 years, and it feels like they become much harder for the last 1.5 years.
  21. No, I don't have cracks. I have 2014, not big mileage as well. Share the results when you do your stuff.
  22. Unfortunatelly there's not available in my size of that tyres. I think I want to give a chance for Pirelli Powergy which are quite close those Michelin's performance.
