  1. To me, nothing, as it's a warranty issue, but I might ask the question.......
  2. Just an update on this, it's been delayed as the armrest parts haven't arrived yet. Probably be next week now.
  3. Mines in next week for a software update and one or two other things, I'll mention this to my service guy then, and if I don't get anywhere, I'll approach Lexus UK as well.
  4. I knew about it in advance but didn't mention it; when the dealer rang me to give me an update on the service they were doing and any issues/cost, he just mentioned it then as 'it needs to be done' as if it was a known issue and just needed scheduling.
  5. Dealer just contacted me, it's scheduled for a full unit replacement week after next, all under warranty. Seems to be a total one-off problem.Going to do my petrol flap recall and software update all at the same time.
  6. Spoken to my service manager about this, he's never come across it before. I've sent him some pictures, he's going to investigate what's needed and will come back to me.
  7. Yes, me also. I had my LC serviced at Lexus Bolton (no issues) on 23rd September; the service history in the app shows a hybrid health check on that day, but not the service itself.
  8. Had a problem with my LC today, for the first time. The lock on the central armrest cover (the one that locks and unlocks it so you can lift it/keep it down), has broken off & is just rattling round inside the lid. It's a semi-rectangular metal flap. The lock to its left, that allows it to slide back and forth, is fine. Luckily the weight of the lid keeps it 90% closed and I have my left arm on it most of the time, but its still annoying. I'll get on to the dealer tomorrow, hopefully a warranty job at barely 2 years old & 9,000 miles. Anybody else had this issue?
  9. I looked on and off for 4-6 months and I know what you mean. I got very lucky with mine because it was a Head Office marketing car and they just delivered it to my local dealer once I'd paid a deposit. So I didn't have to travel far! I bought it 'unseen' but I knew it was going to be fine, so I didn't feel I was taking a risk. (It only had 4100 miles on it). Don't forget to check the official Lexus used list as well as Autotrader, etc: there are cars that appear on one but not the other.......
  10. If you configure a brand new LC on the Lexus website, it doesn't mention Car Play at all and the pictures of the interior don't show it either. Not sure why this is?
  11. Lovely that Martin, I've got the hybrid in black with black interior, its more than fast enough for me! Had it since March and absolutely blown away by it. Still getting ridiculous attention from people about it, I'm sure you'll get the same. I had mine serviced for the first time last week, no issues at all. Apparently there's a software update due: it's not actually in the dealers yet so they are going to bring it next month when it's available, along with the infamous petrol flap recall. With yours being a model year newer than mine, you may not need these however.
  12. Welcome Martin, a fellow Northener! Is it the hybrid or the V8, and what colour did you get?
  13. I live in the North West, between Manchester and Liverpool. In the last 3-4 years, I have seen a red one locally 5-6 times (but not recently), and a white one, once. That's been it, so far.
  14. Late to this party, but I would have said the Climate Concierge running the seat cooler also! I wondered what this was a while ago and, when I realised, I turned Concierge off & never used it again. In hot weather, it just seems to dial everything up to 11.
  15. I agree with Rayaan on this one, with it being a hybrid, you definitely are better leaving it on. As to the ML equaliser, there definitely was something in the audio settings when I had an RC300h, along with 'fader', and 'balance'. Can't remember where exactly now. Also, I noticed a big difference in performance when I put it in Sport or Sport + mode compared to the other modes, in terms of throttle reponse, handling, etc.
  16. I'm obviously duller than you guys, I pretty much had my RC300h in Eco most of the time, though having said that 90% of my driving is just round town, hardly ever go on the motorway any more. When I got the LC500h, I started off with Eco but now have it most of the time in Custom (Eco + Comfort), though occasionally I put in Sport or Sport+ for some neck-snapping fun. I may be wrong, but when I put it in Sport, it seems to me that the seat belt tightens/locks as well. Not sure if this is just me, or the Sport setting includes trying to hold you in your seat more firmly?
  17. I agree John. I owned a BMW 3 series M Sport before I got my RC300h several years ago, the rotary wheel (where the LC has the trackpad) was superfast and nice and tactile. Maybe premium cars should go back to physical buttons and touchscreens for everyone else?😁
  18. Video here: I personally am not a fan of taking your eyes off the road to try to use use a touchscreen in a moving, bouncing vehicle. I sometimes feel I need a 'wrist rest' to steady my hand, as I'm touching the wrong icon all the time. I wonder if, in a few years time, we'll look back on touchscreens as just the latest example of groupthink?. Physical buttons (correctly made and placed!) for me are more tactile and enjoyable, and ergonomically more sound and safer.
  19. I read this yesterday; it's only in North America at present but I'm guessing we'll get it (or something like it) in a few years. https://www.thedrive.com/tech/40950/the-determined-employee-team-that-convinced-lexus-to-finally-drop-the-touchpad
  20. It's a really striking colour, particularly in sunlight and nearly always looks clean! When I was looking for an LC earlier in the year, the only one I could find was miles away from me in Cheltenham, and even without COVID, there was no way I was driving all that distance. Plus it was virtually new and pretty much list price. I just checked Approved Used Lexus and Autotrader, out of curiosity; not one Sonic Titanium LC! I'll probably be in the market again 2024/2025 unless something else comes along.
  21. Barry, I had an RC (pre-facelift) in Sonic Titanium and it IS my favourite colour. I would have preferred, as I've said before, an LC in titanium as well, but I just couldn't find an Approved Used one at the time. I am very happy with my Graphite Black LC, but if I change it for another LC in 3-4 years, I'm really going to try for a Titanium one.
  22. Thanks, I'll make a note of this for when the time comes. Looks like sheri1 has started another thread on this also
  23. This is very interesting AJ, it wont be relevant for me until the end of '22 but sounds like a (potentially) big saving. Where did you see this?
  24. I've never tried this sorry, so I can't help. If no other members can help either, I'd call your Lexus dealer?
  25. I agree also with Kevin and AJ, I'd want to see this one 'in the metal', so to speak, and if it's in good condition, I'd say £50k tops.
