yea, i am pretty sure the chrome on the doors at the bottom and also the rear boot / trunk reg plate light housing is plastic coated with chrome.. i have attached a pic of lexus door trim at the rear.

autosol is for metal chrome ? I don't want to scratch the plastic chrome trim. It let's the car down if I don't get it sorted

Hi just just had my 2012 rx450h for 2 weeks and have started thr detailing of the car. The dull chrome on the boot and doors looks poor. Just wondering what you guys use to bring the chrome trim back to new.? Also is there a guide to remove the trim sonic can clean the paintwork behind them ? Regards Ronan

Hi gents , So I picked up my 450h today and its been great, I want to start tidying it Nd one of the things I noticed is the rear door chrome trim hybrid badge is very faded. Any idea where I could get them ? Thanks for your time Ronan

but the width is very Narrow, i think i had 235 on a old golf, my last car was 275 on the rear. is this for MPG i wonder ?

Hi steve Road tax is based on emission on cars after 2009, so for Example A 2007 rx400h is 1800 euro a year to tax ( 3k to buy) A 2008 rx400h is 1200 euro a year to tax (6k to buy) A 2012 rx450h is 400 euro a year to tax ( 17k to buy) So cars with the cheap tax as we call it are much much higher to buy. Messed up system. And now with brexit our pool of good cars has taken away 😞 dublin is very expensive in general but I love it, alot of history.

Hi guys, I am very close to being a new lexus owner, I was looking at rx400s but decided to increase the budget to a 2012 rx450h. I sold my 2015 640d a while back and have been looking for some thing suits my needs at the moment. Comfortable, practical for dogs and bikes and a petrol, I don't do big milage and will be working from home for the foreseeable future. Hopefully picking up a private sale 2012 rx450h advance in silver this week. Thanks for that, the shipping to Ireland from lexus parts direct is coming up with nearly 130 pounds. Crazy. I will talk to dealer once I get my hands on the car. Never had rubber in any car, does it take away from the premium and plush feel ?

Hi, sorry to jump in on this thread, but your mentioned a preference for the advance trim, what is thr base model spec doe the advance to be added to ? Looking at a 2012 and it has gunmetal alloys and front and rear skid plates but I am.not 100% what I am to expect rom this trim level

Hi guys Helli from ireland !! Signed up as I am on the verge of buying my first Japanese car, a 2012 rx450h. It is an advance model but I am unsure how to check exactly what spec that is. It is an ex lexus uk Car and seems in great condition except the carpet mats, cream colour in ireland weather is a bad idea. Just wondering where I could get a nice set of plush of front and rear mats. I am sure I will be on this with loads of stuff to ask. Thank you Ronan
