Just received the following software recall. Due to an incorrect programming of the DCM software, if the ignition turns on within a few minutes after it is turned off, there is a possibility that the most recent location data* will be cleared. A vehicle with an eCall system that cannot transmit current location data may not conform to applicable requirements of local regulations in certain countries. 2. Due to an incorrect programming of the DCM software, there is a possibility that dark current will increase after certain period of time from vehicle shipment, causing the discharge of an auxiliary battery. 3. Due to an incorrect programming of the DCM software, there is a possibility that the connected service will not be available after a certain period of time from the ignition turns off. 4. Due to an incorrect programming of the DCM software, there is a possibility that OTA (Over The Air) software update will stop after a certain period of time from the ignition turns on and will not restart unless the ignition turns off and on, causing that the software update takes longer time than expected. This is yet another one, and a very disappointing experience from Lexus, how can they release a new model on the road with so many software problems? I am not qualified to know what is needed as a once and for all fix, any ideas anyone? We should all be due some form of compensation, and if we all complain to head office together we should get somewhere.

I have had the same problem with remote heating for a while and mentioned during the last recall but they couldn't fix it without my phone presence so now I have to go back there with my phone. Another 50 miles round trip, happy with the car (my first Lexus) but really disappointed with software, very very unhappy and unexpected from a Japanese company!

Then could be coming from the passenger seat when not occupied?

Thanks Harrier but I tried in all different ways, plugged in or unplugged, after a long drive, etc. The only way it works it's manually. But it has worked remotely a few times in the past.

Yes I have a similar problem, sometimes it says cannot turn on because battery voltage too low. Or error, your vehicle doesn't allow to switch on climate control right now. Please try again in a couple of minutes. Tried several time still not working. Any suggestions?

Yesterday I tried to remotely switch on the heated seats on my 450h+ but came up as an error because the battery didn't have enough power, is this a malfunction or normal if the traction battery is empty? I have used the function before without problems but don't remember if the traction battery was full or not.

Many thanks Colin,I have a premium plus so will investigate. Will seem strange not to lower the beam on oncoming traffic!

How does the auto high beam work? Does the beam turn off or does it create a non blinding spot for oncoming vehicles? Not sure if I explained it properly. Thanks!

Thanks, interesting opinions, how did you find the seats? I can also confirm that I didn't like the shift ither but got used to it within a couple of weeks .

Hi Andy, I had a 450h+ gray with tan leather premium plus,since March and very happy with quietness, comfort, performance and economy as most comments above. No problem with the sound system, is very good (expectations may vary) the Hazel leather is light but not delicate, tyres are very acceptable. One warning on the seats, we had a test on a sport model and were very uncomfortable for us mainly due to bolsters at shoulder level, if you are tall it may effect your neck problem, the premium plus seats are one of the most comfortable we ever had. General quality is very, very good, if I had a negative it would be the digital technology is a bit too much (for my capabilities).

I remember some cars had a foot button on the floor to dip the lights.

We use to get the windscreen washed too! (For free) Were you told to change gear with a double clutch to match the engine revs to the gear revs?

A few days ago I couldn't take a hands free, phone call from the screen, but I have been able to do so several times before. Anyone know why? Android phone.

Another question, if driven mostly on ev and occasionally you need full acceleration and the ICE kicks in, would that be bad for the engine to come in suddenly at full revs from completely cold?

Unfortunately still some problems, use to be electric mainly. I had a 1972 Montreal V8 for many years and it was always electric problems but great to drive!

If you don't have an opportunity to plug it in in Southampton, don't forget that you still have the hybrid system working and even when the main battery is empty, the car will still move off in electric mode up to about 15mph. Whenever you have some petrol in it you will not have any problems, that's the advantage of this plug in, it will switch automatically from one system to the other.

Or you can push one the buttons by the gear selector and bring in the ice engine every now and then, for a short while.

Can't seem to be able to cut and paste the relevant page, if you download the NX owners manual on page 48 it explains what to do if not used for a long time.
