  1. That's my conclusion that the fan is the significant draw. Turn the fan off and I only get around a 30-35 mile increase but it doesn't change with ac on or off. One thing I discovered this morning, I turned the fan off to use the radiant heaters which is more efficient that using the fan/heater. The only problem is on cooler/wet mornings like today the windows steam up badly which means you have to put the fan on which seems to defeat the point of these heaters to save power. @ruds @wivenhoe, do you get that problem?
  2. All the best with the GV60. Let us know how you get on. 9k loss since August -ouch that's bad.
  3. Bob. Fully charged with the fan on but the ac off, my car shows a range of 196 miles. But if I turn the ac on, it still shows 196 miles which is why I tend to keep it on all the while. If I turn the fan off, the range goes up to 223 miles. It has consistently shown this range from day one. Obviously your car is performing different to mine particularly as your car has the ac come on with the fan whereas my doesn't' unless I turn it on. It's a mystery and it will be interesting to see how @ruds car performs compared to ours.
  4. If the RZ had a bigger battery with better efficiency and without all the niggles I've never had with previous Lexus cars it would be fine. It's overpriced for what it is and that is the big disappointment. Lexus really shouldn't have launched this car in this state. It would also have been helpful if Lexus had trained their dealers before launching the car because frankly they haven't a clue and every issue has to be referred to Lexus which furthers delays things. Sad but true.
  5. I could but I bought it in June but a 16k drop is a bit too much to stomach.
  6. This is my 10th brand new Lexus and the 9 before it were brilliant. Believe me, this one is the worst one I have owned for many reasons and as for owing it for many years there is no chance. I feel let down by Lexus and I will not be buying no 11.
  7. It's so painful I've now taken to drink. Lexus have a lot to answer for!
  8. Bob, I think you need to get the dealer to have another look. When I have the fan on, the ac is off by default. If I switch the ac on the range doesn't change so I tend to leave it on most of the time.
  9. To be honest, I didn't think the NX450+ Takumi plug in had Mark Levison fitted. Mine which I bought last March and sold this June certainly didn't have it. Unless of course they have changed model year 23 to now have it. I stand to be corrected
  10. Just come across this video from out of spec reviews who do range tests on electric cars. The bottom line is that it is the worse car they have tested for range with only 172miles until the battery died. There is also another video with a full test and review. The bottom line for that is they wouldn't recommend buying new but in a years time when the price has dropped by at least 20 grand you might be able to pick up a bargain.
  11. The range on mine doesn't change whether the ac is switched on or not so I tend to leave it on full time
  12. Ken, the indicated range of 165 miles is probably down because of the way it has been driven on test drives. I drive mine carefully although I do indulge in the traffic light grand prix sometimes. Fully charged, mine consistently shows 196 miles which is poor but consistent. Obviously on a long drive you have to charge more often. I think a rear wiper should be fitted as I find it difficult to see out of it sometimes. I've said before that I think the suede seats are out of place and a car of this price point should be leather but just my opinion. The car is nice to drive but there are too many niggle son this car for my liking.
  13. Basically it is a major update as per the Toyota BZ which should improve the range slightly by reducing the buffer, show the % state of charge and improve the accuracy of range with the AC on. There are other minor tweaks and the update should be coming by the end of year. It will have to go to the dealer was this to be done. According to Lexus CS this has been included in production cars for the last few months so if you can see the % soc on the dash you should have it.
  14. Congrats on the new car and I hope it all goes well. I think that's now 3 of us on here who have bought the RZ so let us know how you get on. Does your have the new software update. Apparently new cars should be supplied with it but existing owners have to wait until December at the earliest
  15. For info, I was told by Lexus CS that any car supplied without locking wheel nuts this year will be getting them at some stage. I contacted them with regards my RZ but the email says "any car" supplied this year so let's see what happens. With regards my second key, I'm now told to expect it early next year so not very happy.
  16. Don't rub it in !! Idiots like me have been truly shafted by Lexus.
  17. Charged mine this morning to 100% and was showing 196 miles predicted range. Still rubbish of course.
  18. You should have bought one and then you would know why!!. Honestly, worst decision I ever made but we all live by our mistakes. The residuals on these will drop like a stone. Sad but true
  19. I've just read an article in the Telegraph where someone is still waiting for their second key for their new Toyota. A Toyota spokesperson said " we have been working hard on the issue, and that 75 per cent of new Toyota customers are now getting both keys when they take delivery, and that all customers supplied with one key to start with should be up to two by early next year" Early next year? I hope that doesn't apply to Lexus because the silence I am getting from the dealer and Lexus UK is worrying as the promised date keeps going back. Time for Lexus to deliver the key rather than excuses but I won't hold my breath.
  20. Mu app is taking at least a day to update despite refreshing the screen. It is still showing the charge level from yesterday morning of 38% even though the car was charged yesterday and is currently on around 80%. More annoyingly, it has been showing the car as unlocked since yesterday morning although the car is currently locked in my garage. These might be "teething problems" but it is still disappointing Lexus issue an app with these issues.
  21. I agree with you 100% on the seats. Don't get me wrong, they are not bad but I prefer leather and a car of this class and price should have them like all the premium competitors. By the way, as you have the Takumi try and see if you can get the radiant heaters to work. I have tried everything and I can't get them to work. Will eventually have to ask the dealer or probably Lexus cs but there must be an easy way to do it but i'm stumped.
  22. Lets hope you get some meaningful response from Toyota/Lexus. The battery is a puzzle and I am surprised they couldn't give any answers. Keep you fingers crossed it doesn't happen again
