  1. Lovely car and right up my street - good friend of mine had one and raved about it (didn’t have a chance to drive it sadly)…certainly worth a look but I wonder if practical enough
  2. Also in terms of interior quality and feel, the Lexus is leagues ahead of the Alfa!
  3. Funnily enough, I had a deposit on a new Alfa quad at the time (also would like a red or Green one) but backed out as they mis-quoted the numbers and I didn’t feel at the time i could justify the extra I had considered the BMW/merc at the time but then this one turned up and it was dream spec for me so jumped on it. Think I just fancy a change really, nothing against the car and although I’d love a LC, need something with a little practicality - small bugbear for this car is that the rear seats don’t fold on the F. And it’s bigger than you expect but as an ownership prospect (running costs aside 😁) it’s brilliant!
  4. I am tentatively thinking of selling current RCF and currently looking at alternatives. Has anyone considered or done similar? current shortlist is current M3/M4, previous gen but 2019 (facelift) onward c63 coupe (do like the estate though!) or the 2021 onward (facelift) Alfa Guilia Quadrifoglio…. suspect I’m better selling privately but they are a rare beast, particularly mine as a facelift ~ have genuinely not seen another on road since I purchased in 2021 (Lexus approved) so perhaps might take some time. Any advice, experience or suggestions appreciated. I say tentatively as fundamentally it is a brilliant car and I know I will miss elements of it but…. brief spec below in case someone interested in discussing Facelift (current shape) model in Azur Blue (recently stage 2 polish and ceramic coated) 2 tone white and black leather (treated) 29k miles or thereabouts full Lexus service history of course Oct 2019 registration (69 plate) but on a five digit private plate - would include for right buyer Hayward & Scott exhaust (plus standard) AVS adaptive dampers Apple CarPlay and all other usual spec incl mark levinson, forged alloys, orange callipers Optional and in my opinion vital sunroof
  5. Good to hear, thanks @Jgtcracer. I will investigate a little more - I am just slightly concerned it will scrape on underground car parks and keen to avoid that
  6. Thanks Marcus, good to know - did you do both front and rear? Any issues with underground car parks and road humps etc?
  7. @BillNick Many thanks for the advice. I'd already ordered red stuff direct from EBC (arrived very quickly) and had a local garage fit them so all good. Decent saving over OEM. Not used the car really since and currently travelling so absolutely no idea if they are any good or not. Not worried as the consensus is that they are a good road pad. In other news, just hit the 4yr mark, fresh service with Lexus and MOT. Now, tempted to look at lowering springs....if only to bring the front down a little as I think the back looks fine
  8. Just ordered the red. Many thanks for the fitting advice but think I will leave this job to a professional 🙂 I can use some of the money I have saved over OEM ha!
  9. Many thanks Billy, will look these up. Sounds like a better option as I have found the OEM to be quite dusty anwyay. No trackdays so will look at red. Happy new year!
  10. Thread resurrection time...for a facelift RCF (although understand the brake setup is same as pre) - are people still recommending red or yellow stuff brake pads over OEM. Do these work with the wear sensor? Not urgent but was mentioned at recent service (front pads only) so thought I would be prepared. OEM is around 440 GBP plus fitting
  11. Very tempting but timing not right....assume these would fit a facelift car?
  12. 2019 Lexus RCF here and I suspect the same system - from what I can tell, functionality is fairly limited.
  13. Hi Bill, Thanks! As far as I am aware it is standard. I am 10,000 miles in just over a year (just ticked over 23k)- lots of fuel but lots of fun too.
  14. He she is in the French Alps. Lots of positive attention. For those interested, I invested in winter/all-season tyres - Vredestein Quadrac Pro - Y rated and exact same size as the P4S i use outside the winter. Wet weather/cold performance much improved particularly for wet motorway/standing water. I have also just upgraded to the Haywood & Scott exhaust - still getting used to it but overall pleased.
  15. They are easy to contact if not the quickest - I emailed them to ensure I got the right unit before ordering. Fitting cost me 120
  16. Only been using for a couple of days but seems to work quite well. Mine is set to Aux and generally seems to go direct to carplay - happy to make a video in PM if you like? It is also a wireless setup. What audio settings on the carplay unit did you use btw?
  17. A polish and ceramic coating is on the list for Jan. Yours looks top!
  18. Just to update this topic, I now have carplay! Ended up getting the unit from this place and they recommended a fitter who came to me https://www.iceboxauto.com/lexus-rc-series-2015-19-wireless-apple-carplay-wired-android-auto-siri-rear-camera?utm_source=LexusOwnersClubUK&utm_medium=ForumLinks
  19. Welcome to the club! I too find the heated seats crap but believe it is a case of "they all do that, sir". Shame as I came from an IS which had much better heated and cooled seats. Good luck with the consumption 🙂 I average about 14/16 in London traffic. Managed 28/29 mpg on euro trip, which I thought was rather good.
  20. Ha, now you have me thinking again to give this a go. I did watch the video too. Very kind offer, thank you. May well take you up on that - fit in a drive too!
  21. Hammersmith so not that far west 🙂 Excuse for a drive perhaps! Thanks!
  22. Thanks Kieran, I did find that thread and read through but I am not keen on attempting this job myself.
  23. Good morning fellow F fans, I have a 2020 MY RCF - facelift model but sadly before they introduced carplay so same widescreen model introduced from around 2018 (i believe). Much as I enjoy the car itself, the infotainment is shockingly bad for such a modern vehicle. I came from an IS250 2009 and can't say the new one is any better. Lexus offer a software upgrade to the NX, UX models from 2019 but sadly not the RC. I've found a potential solution but looking for installer recommendations (i.e. someone who wont ruin the interior and/or mess up any wiring). Preferably west london but open to reasonable journeys. Cheers and any excuse for a picture 🙂 https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/4001359733954.html?UTABTest=aliabtest300081_422161&_randl_currency=EUR&_randl_shipto=FR&src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=248-630-5778&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&gclsrc=aw.ds&albagn=888888&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=248-630-5778&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&gclsrc=aw.ds&albagn=888888&ds_e_adid=448836400057&ds_e_matchtype=&ds_e_device=c&ds_e_network=u&ds_e_product_group_id=1306820800200&ds_e_product_id=fr4001359733954&ds_e_product_merchant_id=108306942&ds_e_product_country=FR&ds_e_product_language=fr&ds_e_product_channel=online&ds_e_product_store_id=&ds_url_v=2&albcp=10564357377&albag=104632701295&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInIfm4ImH-QIVRZBoCR3zsw55EAYYAyABEgLaFfD_BwE&aff_fcid=8835fc2a88aa42d2a133263b105c9c9a-1658306701930-03017-UneMJZVf&aff_fsk=UneMJZVf&aff_platform=aaf&sk=UneMJZVf&aff_trace_key=8835fc2a88aa42d2a133263b105c9c9a-1658306701930-03017-UneMJZVf&terminal_id=38334e0343d6480aa2c30b9401df3759&OLP=1083300108_f_group0&o_s_id=1083300108&afSmartRedirect=y&gatewayAdapt=glo2fra
