  1. Yes you would be paying an extra £410 per year as the original purchase price was over £40k, you do however save £10 by virtue of being a Hybrid.
  2. If it took 2.5 hours I am sure the price would be much higher.
  3. Also one post that stated there was a newer improved version, but I don't believe this has been verified.
  4. Also I think it's one of the factors on why insurance prices have risen overall.
  5. You can always take out an independent warranty cover for peace of mind.
  6. Make sure you get a print out of the tracking / alignment results, you can then have a discussion with objective data. Same with brakes, what is the pad / disc thickness and what are the specifications for wear. If the dealer can't answer these simple questions them most likely they are trying it on.
  7. The petrol smell will be because the car is running too rich.
  8. Most insurance companies will also let you choose your own repairer, but usually you will have to pay an additional £200 or so excess.
  9. If the sensors are metal they do tend to corrode and hence are easily damaged if you try and remove them.
  10. True but the risk factor is mainly the driver rather than the type of vehicle in that scenario.
  11. Sounds to me like it may have been the ECU rather than the headlamp itself, seems unlikely that both components would have failed simultaneously.
