  1. I find that auto high beam works very well, either on straight and on winding roads. Actually the minimum speed is 40 km/h (25 m/h), below 30 km/h (19 m/h) the high beams are automatically turned off. I attach a screenshot of the manual regarding the auto high beams.
  2. That switch turns off the anti intrusion sensors of the inside of the car. If you press it to turn them off, a message will appear on the left side of the driver's display (the multifunction portion of the display). Just try it, turn it off then turn it on again.
  3. I don't use Auto because i feel it is too "aggressive", fan is always too high for me so the car gets too hot in winter and too cold in summer. I really prefer to set things manually, and this also saves a little bit of fuel.
  4. Others have issues with UX, and RX. Myself had issues with Volvo V40. But not with UX.
  5. Seems that others have issues letting the car decide on its own.
  6. To prevent this i don't use the auto function, decide myself the temperature, which vents i want air in, use recirculating function when i decide is needed. Plus i turn off air conditioner for the last 10-15 minutes of the trip (but keeping same temperature and fan settings), this way the humidity that has collected will drip off, and the air ducts and vents will dry. I did this with all cars i owned that had auto function (BMW, Volvo, Lexus).
  7. Open My Lexus on an internet browser, log in, then go to the e-store section, then to the bought items section
  8. Exactly what i wrote. Same brand and same model of tyre on each axle. And all wheels with the technical indexes prescribed by the car manufacturer.
  9. According to my tyre dealer there are no problems as long as on each axel there is a pair of identical (same brand and same model) tyres. IE (only for example): on the front axel a pair of Hankooks and on the rear axel a pair of Pirellis.
  10. Hi, could you share your experience? Some details on the work. Thank you
  11. Here is some info on how What3words helps in emergency situations. If the rescue team does not use What3words they can convert the "three words" into GPS coordinates utilizing a batch converter, the link is below. How do I use what3words in an emergency? 1. Find the 3 word address for your current location on the free what3words app for iOS and Android. ... 2. Share your 3 word address over the phone to the call handler. 3. The emergency service can then coordinate a response directly to the exact location where help is needed. https://what3words.com/products/batch-converter https://what3words.com/news/emergency/three-words-for-a-faster-emergency-response In the app you can also set so that coordinates will be sent togheter with the three words: You can also open the menu and tap 'Settings', then 'Share Settings'. Select Latitude & Longitude, and the format you need (decimals, degrees, mins & secs etc.). Now, whenever you share a what3words address, the Latitude and Longitude will be included.
  12. In this cases the W3W location is received by the rescue team as GPS coordinates.
  13. You can use GPS coordinates for this. Can also make and send a full itinerary to whoever needs to find you.
  14. What Three Words, in my humble opinion it's ridiculous. Don't find any logic behind it.
  15. Absolutely normal. When braking at first is the regenerative mechanism that slows down the UX, hydraulic braking kicks in when you press with more decision the brake pedal. If you want to feel the hydraulic brakes you should shift gear in N (neutral) then press the brake pedal, in this case you will use hydraulic braking 100%.
  16. With adaptive cruise control, if a car in front slows down or is slower i adjust the cruise speed by decreasing by 5 step intervals down to about ten units faster than the car in front, when the car gets out of the way or i overtake it i then increase the cruise speed by 5 step intervals up to my desired speed. This way i avoid the sudden acceleration, and don't waste extra fuel.
  17. Actually the UX has two electric engines: one electric engine for traction and an electric motogenerator for recharging the batteries during coasting and braking.
  18. Like: overall build quality Like: track pad (dislike touchscreens) Like: no auto fold mirrors, this way i decide when i need them folded Dislike: low quality plastic door cards
  19. Thank you for the replies. We will be carrying the keys, one each, just to have a spare one with us. Will never leave one in the car.
  20. Good morning, will having both keys of the UX in the car while travelling cause some trouble? Planning a trip and will be carrying both keys of the car with us at the same time, can this be a problem? Thank you
  21. Thank you. You've had the same noise on your UX? The dealer will lubricate the mechanism?
  22. Good afternoon, bought my UX at the end of december 2021, two years used vehicle with 12000 km. It has always made a sort of squeaking noise from the parking brake, when i shift into P. Is this normal? Others have noise from the parking brake? Thank you.
  23. Thank You. I bought the space saver wheel & tyre for the Toyota CH-R, it has the same specs as the one for the UX as written in the manuals. I fitted it on top of the tools, it sits there perfectly. The trunk does not modify, remains exactly the same as without the spare tyre.
