  1. Glad to find this post. I called my local service centre a few weeks ago about the fuel cap issue for my nx350h and was booked for replacement along with the first service in 2 weeks. I was on holiday last weekend and experienced the frozen handle issue for all handles apart from the driver front door. Just called my local centre (authorised but service only) earlier and they said they would have a look at my upcoming appointment - they mentioned they only had the fuel cap issue but not the handles. This is 3rd issue I had for the car since I got it Jan 22 sigh (unusual crease on dash trim, fuel cap issue and now frozen door handles)…
  2. Yea Lexus agreed to replace the dash trim under warranty. The dealership did, seemingly, a good job as I didn’t notice any rattle etc. However I am not sure if my HUD issue is linked with the job - no idea if the unit was touched for the dash replacement job.
  3. Hi there. I wonder if anyone has the same issue with their HUD for NX350h/450h. My 350h got the dash trim replaced by the dealer under warranty due to very prominent crease marks around the airbag area about 3 months ago. I recently did a longer trip and noticed the projection of the HUD would “vibrate” up and down more than I remembered on some rough roads at higher speed like 60 mph and seems to be fine if the road is relatively flat/in good condition. I don’t really remember having the projection “vibrating” up and down too much before the replacement though. The HUD unit seemed to be quite secured when I slightly pressed the area/screen. I am going to speak to my local centre which only does service and parts (not the dealer mentioned as they are a bit far from where I am and it’s hard to demonstrate the issue unlike the crease issue) but just wondering if anyone knows anything - I am not too sure if it was just me being paranoid after having the dash replaced or it’s really “abnormal”. Ta!
  4. Yea that’s right - there a very faint “v” shaped crease on the other side as well. I guess all nx350/450h will have some degrees of this but I guess I was the “unlucky” one with a very obvious one with this dash. If it was very faint then I won’t really bother but it’s very obvious in my case unfortunately.
  5. I am no expert so can’t really tell 100% but it’s not plastic - either leather or “fake” leather I assume. It is soft to touch and obviously “crease”.
  6. Lol yea it’s a gamble isn’t it? As said I was not too sure about getting the dash replaced initially but the manager gave me some confidence. He did say it’s the first for them which is not surprising but did say they obviously did dash replacement for other models. He told me he would book it for up to a week so it would be done properly. He even said he would drive it himself to make sure it’s all good with no rattle 🤣 . Maybe a SMART repair could fix it but I can’t imagine they would offer it and I certainly can’t see any reason for me to fork out money to fix this myself (unless I just leave it obviously). I actually notice the airbag indentation is now a bit more obvious at the top as well. See the photo - you can see the “V”. This certainly pulls me further for a replacement instead. Anyway wish me luck lol.
  7. Just heard back from the dealer. Apparently I was the first one in Europe who reported this lol. Spoke to the service manager - said they would go ahead to have it replaced under warranty. Apparently it’s going to be a relatively big job as expected and they need the car for a good few days. He offered some personalised service for getting the car to the workshop (to be confirmed though) so very impressed so far (my local Lexus service centre has not even called me back lol). Not going to happen until at least April anyway - hopefully it will be all fine.
  8. Looking online, it does happen for other cars as Andy mentioned - I guess it depends on the design. Apparently there was a good go for the BMW 1 series about 10 years ago about airbag indentation and BMW ended up telling people it’s normal and not to replace the trim. I have emailed the dealer which is about 2 and half hours away (closest to where I stay) and see what they say. My local area does not have a Lexus showroom but only a Honda garage that is also authorised garage to repair/service Lexus - they don’t have service plan set up for purchasing currently (awaiting for training apparently) and said I would need to call back in a few weeks. Did say they are repairing Lexus though… Probably will ask them a look as well but that’s already a bit off-putting as I am not sure how experienced they are particularly with the new NX… I suspect they will probably say replacement but I am really not sure as said.
  9. Thanks - it looks like the exact same issue. As said I am not too sure if I want the dash trim to be replaced even if it’s agreed under warranty - I want to avoid possible rattle/alignment issue… Maybe it’s something I just live with unless it’s getting worse.
  10. Hi there. I wonder if anyone with the leather dash trim with their NX350h/450 noticed an odd crease as seen in the photo. I only noticed it today when I was cleaning it - only got the car a month ago. It’s not really noticeable when I sit on the driver side. I could not recall putting anything/did anything that would cause it. It seems like a very uniform crease so I am not sure if it was supposed to there (probably not). I only tried to use a hairdryer to see if it disappear - it does disappear but would return after cooling down. It’s felt like there’s a gap/crease in the pad under the leather when I pressed the area. Any comment/simple fix would be appreciated (if it’s not supposed to be there) - I am not too sure if I would want the dealer to replace the trim.
  11. Sadly 1 year wait sounds about right currently. I ordered my 350h end of Oct 21 - it was built early/mid Dec and only arrived UK last week. Hopefully it will be ready collection in 2 weeks. Yours probably won’t be built until April/May 23 if the ETA is June 23.

  13. My 350h is also on Mignon. Lexus CS told me the ETA to UK was 17/1/23 - obviously subject to changes. Also was told there would be 1 to 2 weeks turnover time for prep/final inspection etc before reaching the dealer so likely delivery end of Jan 23/early Feb 23 if all goes well 🙂
  14. Just gave Lexus CS a call and got some good news - the car was built 5 days ago. Mignon is the vessel and expected to arrive UK mid Jan 23. I may see the car, finally, late Jan 23/Feb 23 lol.

  17. Don’t be surprised it’s going to be pushed back further to May or June 23 - I ordered 350h f sport takumi pack back end of Oct 21 and I still have no built date. Spoke to Lexus CS last week and was told there were probably just a handful (?less than 5) 21 orders that were still not built. Probably due to spec according to the chap but who knows. Was told Lexus had an internal memo saying they should build all the 2021 orders next month but no guarantee obviously. If so I won’t get mine until Feb 23…
  18. It’s not a lease but I ordered the car via this company instead of a main dealership as they offer NHS/emergency service discount. I have actually contacted the dealer that is supposed to deliver my car - they are slightly a bit more helpful but they can’t tell me much as well. Technically speaking I am not their customer and their contact is with the broker - they can’t disclose much to me somehow. Essentially I am in the dark with no estimated delivery date and neither the broker and Lexus UK can tell me anything useful apart from “yea I know you have waited for over a year but please be patience”…
  19. Did anyone order a 350h F sport Takumi pack with pan roof around Oct/Nov 21? I just got another update from my broker and the last report they got from Lexus UK had no estimated delivery date at all. The very last date I got about a month ago was Jan 23 (after at least 5 push back on delivery) and it’s been no ETA since. It seems members who ordered 350h around my time had the car delivered or soon if not - I have not seen anyone mentioned the exact spec I ordered though and I wondered if it’s something to do with the Takumi pack… Lexus Customer Relations have not been helpful and just simply referred me back to my broker last time so I am not sure if it’s worth my time to ask them again…
  20. I spoke to Lexus customer service about my NX350h order recently but got a less helpful response unfortunately. I asked Lexus directly about the goodwill package but it was declined - they told me my order was a fleet order and I got an extremely good deal so no... It was not a lease but I ordered/dealt with the broker directly and, frankly, they did offer me a very substantial discount back then (just under 49k for the F Sport Takumi pack). They told me my Nov 21 order was pushed back further to Jan 23 last month when I first asked them about the status as well as the goodwill package. When I asked them again last week, they just said I needed to speak to my broker directly… The problem was that I actually spoke to my broker before contacting them again and they told me the last report didn’t even have an ETA… Basically I have no idea what is going on with my order currently sigh.
  21. Yea I got the info directly from Lexus Customer Relations and they said they “hoped” it would be built in Nov 22 for delivery in Jan 23. I was told they would “try to escalate” but it meant nothing to me… It‘s interesting to know about the £500 compensation - will ask Customer Relations and see (they didn’t offer me anything). I will continue to wait regardless anyway - the price ordered was way too good for me to give up now.
  22. I just got a email from Lexus and said my 350h F Sport Takumi EDD is pushed back another month AGAIN… it’s now Jan 23. I ordered end of Oct 21 and the order went to Lexus early/mid Nov 21… Bet I would get another email next month and say EDD would be Feb 23… My EDD has been pushed back 5 times or so already…
  23. Did you email them or send them a physical letter? I actually emailed them yesterday and see if they can “escalate” the order…
  24. Got another update from my broker and said there’s another delay to my 350h F Sport with Takumi which the order was placed end of Oct 21. Was told last month it was on track for mid Nov 22 and now another push back to Dec 22. This would mean over 1 year of waiting time and this is really getting quite ridiculous especially seeing orders placed before mine are getting delivered/still on track… Will be a bonus now if I get it before Xmas sigh.
  25. I ordered 350h F Sport with Takumi pack end of Oct 21 and was told about 3 weeks ago that the car would “probably” going to be build in Sept 22 and for delivery in Nov 22. It’s likely yours won’t come in Sept if it’s still not being built (I was told ETA was Aug 22 before the last update). My broker confirmed the price would stay the same but guess I will only really know when I get to sign the paperwork. Your trade in price is unlikely to be the same since it’s about a year down the line.
