If it is only in the dark it would seem to me that either the camera is gone or you have a connection problem. The camera sends stronger signal when there is a bright picture (around 1.0v peak to peak) and it drops when the picture is dark (around 0.8v). So when the camera is gone and it sends lower signal in the bright light it may start loosing sync when it is darker. You can test it by just reducing the light camera gets and checking if fault returns. Or could just be the connection. Hope it helps Thanks Tazzz

Sorry to hear that mate. It's only couple quid - up to 5 I as far as I remember. It is very easy to fit as well - just knock the old one out with a hammer and fit the new one from the other side - just push it in. Job jobed :) Good luck Tazzz78

Did you think about DeWalt DC-500? There are some on ebay right now (80 quid) It is mains as well as battery powered. You must have a sepperate charger for the battery as well. But DeWalt means quality... I didn't use one but heard some good opinions.

It sounds bad mate, seems you have two channels blown on amp. Did they disconnect any of the speakers? If they would short the wires when radio was on it could blow the amp. Sorry to hear that. Tazzz78

Hello All, I just got for couple days a loan car as my baby needed to get back to lexus to fix their predelivery stuff ( repaint bumper, headlight cluster change, couple others). I would like to tell you my opinion on diffrences I noticed. And I really like my 01 better .. 1. Full leather - It is dark grey not black. My half lether is more comfortable to sit on and nicer to touch. 2. The dashboard pieces are not in gunmetal color - they are in black rubber and look much worst. the panels around window switches are silver and look ok. the instrument panel suroundings are in black and around the clocks inside is silver. 3. the armrest (short one) is to short for me. I am not to high so i don't put my sit much to the back and I can hardly reach it. I don't have an armrest at all in mine and I tought about it but now I don't want it. 4. the gear change knob is silver like in manual not leather. Kind of like it... 5. Grey alloys - look good on dark grey metallic... I have silver on platinum ice... 6. curtain airbags - I dont have em. 7. Headlights- darker inside - looking good. 8. Driving and handling - the suspension is a bit (very little) stiffer - as the car is newer. Response to throtle is similar. 9. On the intrument panel the temperature gauge switched places with MPG gauge. That's about it... and telling the truth I am very happy that didn't go for a newer one. Driving is the same, and it really looks better inside. An 04 one would cost about 17-18 k. I undestand fewer miles, warranty but... I will not drive it a lot as have a company car.. So I am happy fellow :) This are all my personal opinions so please don't feel offended - I am sure we all love our cares so much

wouldn't it be easier to lock the doors as engines starts? just pick up some feed from there and put a relay and get doors locked. and then u can unlock'em as u turn the engine off. The problem i think with the speed sensor would b: how it would unlock the doors? And even if you would get it sorted than it would unlock the doors after u stoped at the lights and locked it again when u start moving again. it would certainly **** me off. I had it done via alarm and it just locked after u turned the key into ON position. and I would do it that way - just pick up a feed from a fuse box (that has 12v only at the ON position), put a relay and it would sort it out. there could be another problem then - if you would be able to unlcok the doors with the central lock switch during the ride? But I recon you would, I will have to take it out to see if there are 3 wires there or just 2 (not counting switch ilumination.)

You are perfectly right but if there is only 1% of used car buyers that want the yellow one you need to sit and wait for them - be patient. If you will not be patient you will sell to a dealer who has enough money to be patient - but he will buy it cheaper to make profit.

Hello all, I've had a busy week trying to find out why my Red Aztec Is200 SE was not delivered on monday... or tuesday... and finally on thursday they said they were unable to deliver tha car at all. There was something wrong with the chassis - or suspension - they couldn't find it. I am happy that they didn't try to hide it and I was quite well informed by them during the process. Being very dissapointed I asked them to fix me a good deal on a diffrent car. They offered me 3 diffrent cars, and I picked the newest of the 3. It is a Y-reg, platinum ice auto SE 64k miles. (no sat nav :( ). I could've bought an W -reg sport with sat-nav in manual adding some money but my other half (and she is going to use it most) preferred an auto. 1 previous owner and I got it for 11k. (original price 12k) It's arriving next friday and I hope they make it this time. of course lexus approved used car with warranty and stuff. I now know the way to lexus dealership in guildford better then to my office and really have been fed up with the situation but they really made a lot of effort to make the deal. Anyway... it's time to insure another car ... and wait for the delivery

I've got an Ipaq 2210 in my van with tomtom 3. Works allright after I added a postcode database (cause finding an address in tomtom is not good) and of course a speed camera detector. I fitted the plug under the dashboard and hidden the gps wires away (but gps needs to be somewhere near windshield - mine is behind rear view mirror). So it's not so portable but works very good. My work is very easy and it gets where I want. I tought about fitting one in Lexus JDM tray but cannot fix it for lifetime as PDA requires a reset from time to time and in order to do it you need to take it out of the cradle. The advantage is that tomtom jacket connects the gps and the charger by itself so you just sit it in the cradle and of you go. very nice.

Anyone has it and would express their opinion? What colour stickers? I thought about getting them painted red and black stickers. Thanks. I tried Directline last night but I couldn't put a diffrent licence there. So I called them and they said it's okay with'em - it doesn't rise the costs at all. So I got it for less then 700 with 0 years no claim bonus. I think that's quite a good deal. :) Can;t wait till tuesday for my new LEX. Cheers Tazzz78

it's only the matter of exchanging it - no need to pass the test. Didn't do it yet to not to catch the points as I am driving a company car and they don't care. Will do it asap. Did any of our foreign members living in UK has ever insured a car, and if so where? I am trying to find a quote for myself, and as it turns out my foreign license brings up insurance cost by 300% !!! If I quote as I would have a full uk licence even with 0 years no claim bonus ( as I cannot prove it here) I can get a quote around 700 quid, but if I say that I have an international license - it goes up to 2100!!! Any solutions? yes I will exchange my driving licence but it's gonna take some time. HELP - 2100 is far too much... I hope it's not off topic... I am looking for a quote on IS200 :) Tazzz78

I asked today and was quoted 350 for bluetooth phone kit (lexus manufactured). That includes fitting. I will get probably nokia one for about 75 quid (ck-7w) and fit it myself. It will mute the radio and can be connected to go thru speakers. You can buy diffrent cradles too - only to nokia phones (not sure how much are those). Some cradles will require a separate aerial - about 15 quid. The one Ianis asked for is probably factory fitted - maybe is integrated and has a separate handset or so... Anyway - too expensive for me for a lexus one.
