  1. Steve, Discussing legal matters, that are related with the police is fine. Like I explained, most legal issues can be resolved, and asnwered by searching the internet. I will make sure that any information that is posted, is accurate , and correct !
  2. If agreed by Steve, I will be the moderator if just that forum. People can answer questions, and post replies - however I will check the integrity of that answer made, and if it is just a myth, I will be able to remove the answer given - explain why it was removed, and post the correct reply. Hope that kind of makes sense ?
  3. Fidigts, I disagree. "people" won't be posting anything law related on the forum, they will post Questions, I will be doing the answering, that doesn't mean that I will post Hear Say, or Urban Myths, like I explained, I will post direct lifts from law, and stated cases. I will NOT post "how to avoid" and "how to get out if it" type replies, but will simply explain to members with concerns the paths they could take, and the possible out comes of those paths.
  4. Fargo, I actually joined the site a few months back as "MetServeUK" But have since gone gold, and changed my username to "ScarFace" - (it's just one of the greatest films ever made) But I'll add in intro !
  5. Well, come on people, you must all have some kind of say - if it be positive or negative. There has been like over 75 views of this topic since started, and too few replies. The reality of this forum actually opening will depend on the members responces. So get replying ! - Share your thoughts.
  6. Fargo, That's very true, advice for legal help is available almost everywhere on the internet. The benefits of having it on the LOC , would just make life alot easier for members should they wish to find out anything in particular, they can come to there website, and look there , rather than going else where. And again like I said, I would have been willing to answer any questions that members would have had, but at this rate ..... it looks like the majority do not want this forum opened, I guess that last person to make that desicion would be the Admin. Like you rightfully said, what about all the other adivce / recommendations people give on the web site ? , that was a very good example that you gave. Oh well ..... guess we'll just have to wait to see the end result of all of this. Regards,
  7. That's most certainly a sweet looking motor, nice, and congratulations. I'm sure i'll come across you when I visit my friends up in Walsall ! :)
  8. Not a lawyer, Yes obviously the information will be correct , (direct lifts from Law Act's that apply) - and yes it is free. This is a topic that is currently being discussed with Steve, and if in play, this will either be for all members, or just GOLD members to enjoy. There will obviously be a disclaimer stating that no responsibility will be taken from / by the information given in the forum.
  9. Ouch ! that site's charging £214.95 for the Bluetooth CK-7W , installed. Well, I guess the signature says it all .......
  10. Hello mate, and welcome to the club ! To be honest, it's not bad, but for £11,000 you can get better, or as good. Firstly, it doesn't have leather seats, that's not unusual for the Altezza, yes you can put them in your self afterwards, but that means spending more money etc. To be honest, if you think for £11,000 that was good, for another £1,175 you could get your self a TOP CLASS IS200 for sale, and it's quicker than that altezza you have seen, check out http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...howtopic=16729& That the post, read it form top to bottom, info on the car is also available. Hope you find the car your looking for, Regards,
  11. Matthew, "The boys in blue" Have certain ways of tracking the vehicle fitted with tracker. If the vehicle has a low budget tracker system fitted, all the police "area cars" (BMW's , omegas , and the helicopter) just get a signal , either N, E, S, W and it it's either HOT WARM OR COLD , it's pretty crap to be honest. If you have the decent tracker system fitted, with the GPS system fitted on board, then the police, and helicopter can locate EXACTLY were your vehicle is to a pin. This is the best option, as police will know exactly where the vehicle is, if it's on the move they can get the helicopter out to follow, while the area cars pursue, or if it's parked, then the local officers will arrange the recovery of the vehicle. Regards,
  12. Hello mate, I don't mean to sound funny or saarcastic or anything, but have you actually gone to http://www.goldmembers.co.uk and paid for the GOLD membership ? Once you have done this, your member ship should be activated within like 24 hours. Regards,
  13. People, Some advice, with the keys ...... the fact of the keys being near the door, has nothing to do with them theif comming INTO your house to take the keys. That doesn't happen, and if it does, it's going to be for a car like a ferrari , or something that costs' over £100K Leaving your keys near the front door allows the scroat to use either 1) Fishing rod 2) Bamboo Stick To put through your letter box, and fish out your keys ... then drive off with the car ! This is happening A LOT over the past few months, although lateley there has been a spate of SILVER PORSCHES being stolen, recently a SILVER AUDI A6 was stolen, same means .... so i'd say SILVER IS200 owners be a little more AWARE!. There is obviously a demand for the SILVER cars. Regards,
  14. Well, as you would also now ... I had the same incident happen to me, (previsouly known as MetServeUK) took it into lexus, and basically. To fix the dent in the bonnet (about the size of a tennis ball) , and to respray .... etc. Would charge me £250 + VAT , and they booked the car in for 2 days ? But i'd be getting a courtesy car anyway, so I don't really mind it taking 2 days ! I've seen the scratch on your wing, and needles to say it's worse than the dent on my bonnet, so I think that sounds about right, don't know about three days though ?
