  1. Had a call today from the guy who told not to have the Ghost fitted yet. He said he and Autowatch have had a 450+ sent from a dealer ( not to sure about a dealer giving 450+ to play with might have to question that.) and they have run tests and that it now works without any problems just less buttons to push to start. so I will have it done in a week or so time.
  2. 😱 Thanks for the info I will try it next week at my work’s underground car park. And hopefully the sensors work and I don’t make an expensive mistake. 🫣
  3. Still cannot drive my 450+ to it's full potential as I only going to and from work so have not emptied tank of E10. Went away for a long drive on the first weekend after I got it and came back and before I read this post I full it up.I keep on driving in charging mode just to burn the fuel. Hopefuly be driving it properly by Monday.
  4. It seems to be about a year for orders of the 450+ for the one order last year. Have fun and enjoy.
  5. I believe they are a legal requirement in the UK. I am waiting for Lexus to call me and tell me when they will fit them. ( They are bolts now and not nuts unlike the missing bits) Also most or maybe all of us only got one key, did you get one or two keys. Enjoy your lovely car.
  6. It’s a plugin and play world. I do read the manual when I don’t fully understand a bit of tech and hopefully I will never need a tow. If we highlight things that most of us who are lucky to own some of the most reliable cars around today that will not need , it just makes information into common knowledge.
  7. Something else that I don’t know about EVs and hybrids and that is you should not tow one. https://electriccarguide.co.uk/can-you-tow-an-electric-car/
  8. Looks great, enjoy it as much as I am enjoying mine.
  9. Probably one key and a wait for the tow hook, but you will enjoy your great new car. Have fun.
  10. All I can think is the software is different between MY24 NX350 and MY24 NX450. Hopefully not a long wait.
  11. Very good thread and very helpful. Thank you all for your input. Now also running down the tank..
  12. Sorry I cannot find the video that a member kindly posted. It's a guy in the midlands who fits Ghosts talking about making sure the people who you get to fit the Ghost 2 know what they doing. One of things is the price which should be £499 and this is due to the other thing which is time, it should about 2 hours plus to fit one. Auto Watch UK Ltd ( The importers ) seem helpful, it does take a few days to get a reply. They do say that "We train and approve independent trade installers to fit our products."
  13. Ask the Ghost 2 importer for some recommendations for fitting( someone put a video up on the owners club of good advice) and they kindly give me some suggestions of companies that are trained by them. One of them called me to check on model and called me back, and said a big NO. The Lexus software on the latest NX450 will not work with the Ghost. Ghost are said to working new software. So just a heads up.
  14. I am going to have too make my wife very happy and move north as my postcode is costing a small fortune.
  15. Sorry, wishing an upgrade with hindsight.It was a NX300. 🫣🫣
  16. I was self employed and had to deal with VAT but it was straightforward unlike the corporate world. Which seems to do things differently from us mortals.
  17. During a long trip it’s always nice to have a stopover. Hopefully not long till you are driving a great car back to Spain.
  18. If you are buying a second-hand car from a dealership, then the car dealer will need to pay VAT on any profit made. This is known as the second-hand VAT margin scheme. This came from Cargurus. Sorry we are barking up the same tree , all it means is no profit or a small one.
  19. The VAT is on the difference between the price the dealer pay for a second-hand vehicle and the price they sell it for, instead of the full selling price of each vehicle. So I think they are making money but very little. The government would only get £400 based on your £10000 and selling price of £12000.
  20. I think the market at my dealership has been flooded, they have 20 NX350s "coming soon" and 1 or 2 already with pictures. The salesman did say they had a lot of new cars come in. Luckly for me my NX450 price was the price I agreed to a year ago. Now on the Lexus site it states: "Due to production lead times, any new orders will be built in accordance to the next available model year, meaning specification and pricing may vary. You will be notified by your Centre when final pricing and specifications are published to finalise your order. Until then, your order will be considered a pre-order that you may cancel with a full refund."
  21. Just seen my old NX350 for sale on my dealers site and it’s only £2750 more than what they paid me. It had 7 years wear and needed a service so I think I got a very good price and very good service.
  22. Sorry Gary, are you referring to the first post? All I can say is it really is worth the wait.
  23. This is my second Lexus so I will let some of the lack of service go ( considering the times) and see if they can keep up the old service with the after sales. Don’t want to go back to Jaguar where the service was rubbish.
  24. Thanks for the update. Ordered car of the year last year and got the car of the year this year. Very happy and a very good car.
