I also got my 450h+ in aug. I spend 6 months of the year in Spain where electricity rates are lower than UK so use granny leads to date. Only put 23lt of fuel in in 3 months. Intend to fit solar panels next trip but still considering whether solar battery is needed so charging can be overnight.

MY24 NX have the new security so insurance rates are down with the better companies. Earlier years and RX have gone up, particularly in London and SE where many are being stolen with both CANBUS and key cloning. DM reported Lexus as most stolen make so not surprising that insurance takes fright, particularly with the RX being most stolen car.

So very much in Lexus’ interest to recall ALL gen4 and upgrade. Correct THEIR mistake.

Interesting that the DM article placed Lexus as the most stolen brand as well as the RX as the most stolen car. The NX is not on the list but few MY23 sold and MY24 all had only one key while the new key software was brought in. I understand that the CANBUS routing is not as exposed as the RX. Also of note is the RAV4 in the top 10. When I changed from my RAV4 to MY24NX 450h+, I actually got an insurance rebate from NFU. I spend 6months of the year in EU but on a gated community with regular security patrols (next door has a Ferrari and Bentley!)

Interesting that the NX is not even in that top 10. The RAV4 is. Lexus is also the most stolen brand in 2023. If the RX is 1 in 46 across the whole of Britain, what will it be in just Greater London and SE? It would be particularly interesting to see this breakdown by Model Year to see if the new keys and software have had an effect. An analysis the Lexus UK could easily do if they really cared about their customers.

I also did not get any EU safety kit but had one from previous car. Important to note that it must be accessible within the car. If you have luggage, then under the boot would be illegal, certainly in Spain. Also soon needed is a led flasher that can be placed on the roof in place of the yellow triangles. Just received my second key recall. It suggests I call my Lexus centre to order the key. They also supplied a Lexus Directory. it has my dealer on it. You are welcome to try the number they publish. It just leads to a telephone test. What hope do we have if Lexus UK are publishing incorrect information in their own Directory?

No sign of App update, still same for both iOS and Android, but it is giving the correct info. Even Fuel range is same as car (but in km, marked as mi) Very useful for those of us in Europe! EV range is still in mi. Someone needs to understand that you cannot just Add mi and km 😉 , but I’m happy with that! As app versions are still same, I assume someone with some sense is now looking at the Lexus data that feeds the App. 🙂 🙂 Keep up the good work!

At last a very useful app display. I’m in Europe so really need km fuel range rather than miles. So now have it , even if it is marked as miles, it is the km range as displayed in the car 🙂 720 km

As far as I remember, mine locked in very quickly until last week when it started to delay several seconds. Suspect Lexus U.K. are mucking about with it again. 😞
