  1. Just renewed mine and the best I could find was a ~10% increase, and that was just sticking with my current insurer and taking the renewal. It seems to be an industry trend, with my previous car (an M2) it was going up year on year too, probably since around 2020. Purely speculation, but I've heard about the glut of Teslas on the road now pushing premiums up, Range Rovers being stolen, maybe the recent Lexus theft problems too. Most likely though it's just insurers pushing up prices because they can.
  2. How about halfway? Mine are a kind of gunmetal grey and I like them. Not keen on silver wheels, and with black wheels I find they just look like a detail-less black void.
  3. As far as I'm aware the RCF doesn't support 2 sets of TPMS. I know that some Lexus models have a switch underneath the steering wheel to swap sets but my 2015 RCF doesn't, there's just TPMS reset and collision detection disable buttons there. Might be wrong though!
  4. I had a set of the Conti Sport Contact 7 fitted to my BMW M2 last year to replace its stock Michelin Pilot Super Sports, ran them on a couple of track days and some mixed road use until I sold the car. They were a pretty big improvement, the front tyres in particular felt a lot stronger than the old Michelins, less understeer and better balance. Response and steering feel was about equal to the PSS, but both are better than the MP4S which have a softer sidewall design so can feel a bit woolly (but are more comfortable). Wet weather grip is seriously good compared to the PSS, which are a liability when it gets damp. The Contis are so good they almost feel like an all season tyre in the wet. Wear seemed about in line with the PSS, at least on a full track day they'd both lose about the same amount of tread, can't really comment on day to day use though as I only did about 1000 road miles on them. The Conti 7 is definitely what I'll be putting on my RCF when the time comes, unless the MP5S is available by then (they're 21 inch only at the moment).
  5. Yeah unfortunately I think the little niggles are just a part of Lotus ownership. The drivetrain is Toyota so it's pretty much bulletproof and very unlikely to have an issue that means you can't drive it, but you have to be willing to either fix little issues yourself or accept that they're part of the "experience".
  6. Yeah sounds like a plan. Unfortunately I couldn't make this one as I didn't have the weekend off, hopefully can make the next 👍
  7. Took the RCF down to a car meet this morning and another almost identical one happened to be there too. First time I've actually seen another one out and about. The owner said he reads this forum sometimes, so hello 👋
  8. Looks great! Did you tint all the badges yourself or buy them somewhere?
  9. Good to know it doesn't affect the ride too much, are you on springs or full coilovers?
  10. Yeah it makes a big difference. Not sure yet how to go about doing the badges, I haven't thought that far ahead! Maybe I'll order a spare badge from Lexus and experiment if they don't cost too much I don't know if I'm going to go as far as lowering yet, I think it definitely sits a bit too high but I don't want to ruin the ride, maybe one for the more distant future
  11. Grille and window dechrome done ✅ Never been a fan of chrome on cars so I was glad to get this done, the chrome always stuck out like a sore thumb to me May need to look into dechromed badges now...
  12. Had mine done at Guildford today. Dropped it off first thing and it was ready for collection by 12. No problem getting a courtesy car, no mention of any charge, just handed me the keys. Had a new RX350h as the loan car. It was decent enough but felt a bit cheap inside for some reason. It didn't feel as premium as I'd expect from a Lexus, wouldn't have been out of place at all if it had a Toyota badge on it. Felt good to get back into the RCF though
  13. They're Eibach bolt-ons, 20mm front and 15mm rear
  14. Before and after fitting spacers, relatively cheap and easy mod but makes the car look much more aggressive
  15. I've got my RCF booked in at Guildford in a couple of weeks time, will have to see if they manage to find any bits in the parts bin for it or if they cancel
