  1. Mine does this too, is there not a small drain hole under the mirror. I just use soft drying cloth and wipes off
  2. Hello, Thank you for explaining this and it is very useful information as well. When I need another battery I know what to look out for and will hopefully save some money too.
  3. Hello, I was in the process of purchasing a replacement battery for my LS600hl. I have the original Panasonic which is 13 years old! Please note, it is not just about what size fits, it has to be an AGM AND have the built in sensor, this is really important (just can't remember what the sensor does, but it is to do with the hybrid battery!) I would go and get it purchased from the dealer only, free next day delivery, you are then not taking any risks and have peace of mind. In the end my original battery was fine and new one not required, even Halfords, who love to sell you stuff could not supply me a battery.lol
  4. I understand but it takes one big car to make a claim and then they lose thousands AND have to do the repairs, not wise at all.
  5. Oh I see, well the garage is insured for these things and so should compensate you the full amount, good luck.
  6. Unlucky mate. I think speak to person in charge and they will need to pay for the sensor, re install it and reprogram it. The TPMS valves can break off after a few years old, but that is not the point, nobody told you, nobody rang you to tell you and it's just not good enough leaving poor receptionist to give out the bad news. I think you are talking about £70 minimum to get it all sorted.
  7. You will also find the equipment levels are different and the Japanese ones I have seen do NOT have all the options that UK cars have.
  8. So the hybrid health is done as part of the Lexus Service or you can have it done separately if you have had the service done elsewhere. Lexus check all the battery components and run it through checks and if it passes, basically give you a warranty on the battery for another 12 months or 10k miles, peace of mind really and for my Lexus ls600hl it cost £60.
  9. Hello, Think roads are bad come to Oldham or Greater Manchester! Even the motorway, the M60 has gots some really bad bits. The issue is is down to.. Patch repairs when done, a few layers and that's it, come winter back to same situation. Too many vehicles on the roads, can't take the loads and pounding of the vehicles. The solution is actually 1.This countries infrastructure is broke, so raise taxes and do a proper job on the roads like they used in the 70's and 80's. 2. Invest in better public transport, that is reliable and frequent, so less cars on the road.I am not in favour of public transport, but we have bloody queues everywhere and some people wouldn't drive if public transport was good. 3. Whoever wins the tender on the roads and motorways, it needs to assessed on quality, materials and workmanship and guaranteed work, as cheap and ineffective work e means we all pay more road tax. 4. MPs who represent their areas and understand about car driving. I am sure there is more, but will get off my soap box now.
  10. Hello, Usually the number plate at the back is a square design and a bigger area than the UK long and thin design
  11. Yes I watched that thanks and it makes sense, I think that is what it is too, but now not worried at all 😃
  12. Totally agree Malc, I tried at different times too. But your right I must let it go, long live the Lexus❤️ I was driving on the motorway today for 30miles each way and had some fun in hybrid power, did a few overtakes and it has masses of unreserved power so could easily get you in trouble🤣😃 Also checked oil and it is still the same gold colour as it was new over 200 miles a ago, so I am happy about that. Finally thanks to everyone who have helped on this forum.
  13. Tried all day today, when cold, after motorway, when stationary bit no noise. Really don't understand jow it has just disppeared??
  14. Thank you, this helps a lot. The damn engine warms up and then no noise heard as it goes to electric mode and silent! So looks like it had the issue when I bought the car and it has done 222k miles so am good with that. I will still be checking it out as soon as I can with more details to follow. Thanks again. Btw how old is your car and how many miles has it covered?
  15. I don't mind trying the fuel additive. Just switched engine on, after not starting car for 3 days, no noise upon startup, gets warm and revs drop slightly, then goes into electric mode and rpm is zero. So only when the car is warm? Tomorrow I will drive it and then when it gets warm see if I can get closer to the noise and where it is coming from... so much to do and so little time!!
  16. Sure I understand, I can have a look at some UK car ads and see if any 600h mention if they have self parking. If it does am sure it would be a good to try it and have some fun, out of town though😃
  17. I own a 2010 ls600hl, it has the self parking, but as it so lengthy to setup, it is vurtually useless. I won't know how you would get 25mpg plus around town, but you can 30mpg on the motorway. There is the self parking button on the steering wheel on the left hand side, just below brake hold assist
  18. Yes it is intermittent, but what I have not managed to do is get you guys some hard facts, where exactly is the noise coming from, when does it start, does it finish by itself, a better recording of the noise etc, also as it is a hybrid as soon as the motor is charged is stays in electric for quite a while, so just need to time it right. Also I really need to check if it occurs open startup as you can imagine as the choke is on, it is a bit noiser, but don't recall being able to hear it, weird?
  19. I don't mind trying the fuel additive, will first find out exactly where and how often the noise is coming from. Besides this noise the rest of the engine sounds perfect. The car runs smooth and quiet when not in ev or electric mode. I guess that is the excellent damping. Will also hook it up to OBD too
  20. I think the noise is def more click or tappety like, so I think it is mechanical I agree maybe it's not oil as it intermittent.
  21. Thanks, that is helpful and yes I will look into the RX forum
  22. The car is totally silent in electric or EV mode. You can't hear the noise when cold or upon startup.
  23. Thanks, I work away from home and don't take the cars, so when I am home, I will get this looked into. From what I can recall the tapetting noise is coming from near the oil cap. Does not occur when car is cold and does go away and apparent when it is electric mode only.
