  1. Hello, Interesting views and comments. The first thing we should think of is humanity. All innocent lives are the same and does not matter if you follow a religion or not The second thing is, most of what you think is not what it seems, hidden agendas. If you are having big issues in politics only two things come to mind.. 1. Go to war everyone forgets politics 2. New election, very risky. In any war there are Countries that gain.e.g.Uk/US make profits on selling weapons. So going back to hidden agendas, Israel is not targeting Hamas as much as it is showing strength in the Middle East and saying look we have backing from US etc. Hamas do not represent the Palestinians just like IRA do not represent Ireland, however desolate people have no choice as PLO were ousted out of Palestine, there are no fair politics or rights for the people. Also why have none of the Muslim countries taken Palestians as refugees? Iran may back the Houthis and the Hezbollah, and this is not to do with Palestine as it is a Sunni Muslim population and Iran is a Shi ite Muslim population, so hardly get on with each other, but more on Western intervention. Regarding China.yes they are not happy about Taiwan and also regarding g shipping know that it will hurt Western countries. That is a gamble they want to take. It is chaotic and sad to see what is going on, their are Countries and people that will gain and sadly innocent people will die. It is nothing new. I always say. What is man's greatest invention? The GUN to shoot his own brother!!
  2. Hello Has anyone have any tips for winter driving and getting car ready? So from me it is..keep a longer distance between the car in front and remember you can't see black ice, also you will need more time and room when braking. Thank you Niaz
  3. Interesting but very unfortunate issue. JLR prices have gone well below dealer purchase prices so where dealer bought it for £19k and sold for £24/£25k, now being sold for £14k. This will apply to Lexus soon and other affected used cars. The thefts will not stop soon. 3 minutes or less to steal a car worth £40k plus, must be a good deal for a thief with minimal equipment! Lexis only want new sales and they know there is no canbus issue. So the issue is what price will they pay for part ex.so If it a normal partex price? But I have feeling the part ex price will be considerably lower, which means they HAVE accepted an issue with the thefts and security! Lexus reputation is on the line, so I have a feeling they want to do the plates but keep it quiet and do it slowly so as not to distract sales
  4. Hello Dan, I am not suprised. Insurance is a selected business nowadays. You will find some insurance companies are sister companies, I think Hastings, Hastings Ditect and Elephant are one company, I think. Niaz
  5. Hello, If you live in London, you will get fined! Also locking all the doors from the inside, can't really be done as you will find one door will always be open. Most of us clear the winscreen and then drive off, old fashioned way, but I guess it works. You could try locking all the doors with the driver side window open and then trying the remote fin to close the driver side window??
  6. OK great thank you. Besides these revised designs would be interested if anything else got changed
  7. Hello, Does anyone know if the facelifted (2010 to 2012) Ls600hl models have had revised control arms, suspension bushes. suspension design - changed from the pre-2010 models. I remember reading somewhere the design has been changed but not sure. Also has anyone had any issues with their suspension (facelift version) Thank you.
  8. If you know if any good indys that you can try, it should take 5 mins for a good mechanic, they will know whether this is normal or not. I would start off with seeing the Manager of the servicing department and explain it is a faulty part. No joy. Go to the Manager of the dealership next. If you are not getting anywhere write to Lexus head office as a formal complaint. Get the reference number and take that back to the dealership, why? As a lot of people complain and then give up. If you show them the complaint number they know they have to look into as it affects their targets etc. Please remember we are good hearted people and are only asking for fairness. So if it a faulty part, then it should be replaced
  9. We moved over from BT to Virgin media and rook the broadband optoon about 1 year ago, we th the landlines. Quite a few of our elderly relatives have mobile phones so no concern there. Just problematic regarding the NHS. They take forever making the changes you have asked for. The good news, no constant harassing nuisance calls! It'd a big change and everyone has their own way. Good luck.
  10. Try the comparisons sites increase your excess, change your mileage so its more accurate. Some you will phone directly like Direct Line and a few others mentioned in the forums. I know how it feels my Lexus ls600hl was harder to insure than my Bentlay Continental Gt. Truly bonkers!
  11. That's shocking! I would have put a complaint in, after all wichever you look at you are out of pocket! I might get myself in trouble for saying this, but we are too soft in this country and should be more like the French!
  12. Oh thank you did not think of that and looks like we have the answer!!
  13. Oh I didn't think that would be the case as you can't have radio on without starting the car?
  14. OK battery tester out today. 12.3v normal, 14.1v when started. Perfect! No replacement needed. Do not know what Halfords did to drain it so fast. Anyway Lexus does not let me down so still smiling. New battery tester and portable jump starter on its way, already have the trickle charger.
  15. I was not aware Aluminum corroded until 2 weeks ago, my drivers wing mirror part made of aluminuim was chalky white!
  16. Hello LS600owner, I have the 2010 ls600hl and do not hear the sounds other than the compressor, which is normal. Personally, I disagree with the dealer and what you really need is someone local who has a similar model. The dealers know your car is rare and it is 10 or 11 years old. Lexus engineers went through quite rigorous lengths to get this car as smooth and silent as possible, would they be happy with this. No chance!
  17. Cherrs. Due to my OCD. Today... I managed to source two secondhand Primacy 3 tyres to replace the two rear Bridgestones. Hopefully, the tyres will last me till summer, then replace all four with primacy 4's.
  18. Hi Boomer54, Never comes across that before, is it connected to the ecu?
  19. Hello, There is no simple answer to this. I was aware of Range Rovers and then other cars being done via the news not on forums.. It maybe an idea to talk to dealers if concerned, or when going for a service, but no blame if people dont or haven't done this. We are all right in our own way! In terms of protection, no canbus plate, crook lock, ghost system will not protect you if the car is out in a trailer or lifted! You may be unlucky but Ford Fiesta front bumpers are being taken. Catalytic converters are being ripped off cars, people are being threatened at knife point and forced to hand over keys, the sad news it is all happening in the day!! Most thieves will steal the car and dump it somewhere for 24 hours to check to see if there is a tracker installed. Number plate thieves get round ANPR cameras, so the criminals win here. So what shpould be done? I go back to my original argument, which is go to the root cause. Stop the cars being shipped abroad. Or try other ways of checking cars beforehand. I will get off my soapbox now.
  20. Hello, Battery still going good no starting issues whatsoever. Will need to find my electrical tester and check battery and also when started. For me just going a buying a new battery is not the solution or the first option that comes to my head, this should be the last resort. Obviously if you get signs. Like battery symbol or some fault lights just appearing, that can also point to a faulty battery. However I know batteries start to discharge as soon as they are produced and not when they are purchased and it is a wear and tear item, so does nota last forever.
  21. In the 3 months of ownership never had an issue with Battery, even in colder weather. More than happen yo buy it directly from Lexus and noother place. But only if necessary, at the moment no issue with battery. So still wondering if the doors left open would drain the battery so much? Also the dashcam works with engine running, so no concerns on battery drain.
  22. Sorry about the confusion it is a Ls600hl, I thought GSF was German Swedish French car parts.
  23. Hello had the Nextbase 522gw dashcam front and also a rear dashcam installed by Halfords yesterday. My Lexus Ls600hl has the rear blinds so had to fit rear dashcam on parcel shelf and upon my instructions used velcro. The cm dashcam work fine and I cant see exposed wiring for the front dashcam. However.. 1. The front camera is positioned too low and I can see the bottom part in my rear view mirror (Autoglass to fit a new windscreen next week, so swould like this higher). Is it OK to have it higher up? 2. The Nextbase grey colour tape used to attach the dashcam yo the front windscreen screen, looks very noticeable and for me tacky. Anyone used a black tape? Also wanted some thoughts if you have had your dashcam/s done at Lexus, Indy, or Halfords and any advice or issues. Thanks
  24. Thanks. That could be what happened, would have thought the lights switch off after a while That is bad news about the state of my battery though, if that is the case. Will get a voltmeter to check further.
