  1. so i should go for an external wastegate?
  2. im planning to use the stock wastegate of the turbine... its around .6bar for the internal wastegate right? im still thinking whether i'll buy a wastegate or not... because the turbines here comes with the stock wastegate already and im planning to use it so i cant really lower it down to .3 or .4 because the internal ones usually boost around .6 to .7 what do you guys think? do i need an external wastegate? or the internal one will do? :) roadrash, how many wheel hp you reached? with your t28bb @ .4bar or .3 bar?
  3. 450 USD isnt bad at all... is this bnew? the problem here in the philippines is that even if you still put for test or for gift only they will still tax you... im just confused whether ill go for a t3 or t28... im scared if i use t3 here i cannot maximize the potential on the street or flat out the torque curve... t3s are abundant here thats why i like to go for a t3... t28 is hard to find here but if i find one.. maybe ill go for this?

  5. yeah im planning to do that to my fuel system... just have to know if my tuner can fit a fuel pump that is sourced locally here to fit in my car... i dont think theres one available for lexus is200 here wait... if i get i will have a later spool right? you get full spool at 3500 to 4k? all i thought if i use a t28 is that ill get a full spool at around 3200rpm :)
  6. get you on that thanks :) should i get an internal or external fuel pump? found some extenal ones here in the philippines... in thinking of getting a walbro or bosch type... but the problem with external ones they are noisy right? what do you guys have? roadrash, at what rpm do you spool? full spool...? 3000rpm? 35000?
  7. oh... thats a good suggestion... my tuner also told me that but im planning to redo my whole exaust pipings... the stock are 2.25 inches around 55mm... im going for a 2.5 piping which is around 65mm...what do you guys think? these pipes are mandrel bent and stainless... full exaust btw, my tuner also told me that i should get a t28 turbine rather than a t3 because t3 is a big turbine... it can handle around 300hp while the t28 can handle around 220hp... his suggestion was to go for t28 because, it is better bec of earlier spooling around 2500 to 3000rpm and the torque curve will really show up... the t3 spools around 3k to 3500 and im not planning to drag race it.. just want to use have a powerful streetcar so earlier spooling is better.. right? and like you guys stated the tranny will give out more than 200hp so i cant maximize the t28s turbine also... so which is better? t3 or the t28? :) thanks
  8. yeah i will adress the fuel problem with the 255 walbro... my tuner told me he can put it in for me... is the bosch one better or the airtex? or walbro is the best? i will adress my fuel needs to my emanage... i get your point road rash... thanks for the help bro... other people will dyno tune my car to be a daily driver... its really up to them how high will i boost... i wont buy a boost controller because i dont need them very tempting if i had one... they will just set it at the right a/f mixture... for the exaust pipings... how big are your pipes? you put 2.5 or 3 inch ones?
  9. yeah... ill do it right the first time... so will the tranny cooler help me? or the lexus is200 auto tranny really sucks? how about the oil cooler? oil cooler or tranny cooler? ill buy a walbro 255 for my car... thats good enough right? to address my fuel needs and will be controlled by the greddy emanage
  10. so you guys are telling me it's useless to turbo my car because the tranny is very weak? no point to turboing my car if its an A/T? i saw the article regading trd328 he has an auto tranny but i know it didnt hold but i think he boosted it up more? so maybe the tranny gave up on him?? any inputs? prolex-uk, how much are the tranny coolers?
  11. i dont think i can order those fuel lines there have to source it locally what size of pipingsa should i go for? 2.5 or 3? will the tranny really give out on a low boost? i wont go beyond 200whp is that safe enough for my tranny? thanks for your inputs
  12. dont want that happening to me... just an update... i have all the electronic stuff that i need like greddy emanage, defi boost gauges etc... i also have a t3 turbine already im looking for an intercooler now and fuel pump because you guys told me i need this as for the oil cooler and tranny cooler do i still need those? really dont want to blow my motor up.. planning to have a boost around 6 to 7psi do i need to low comp my car? like thicker head gaskets? in the philippines we have a good dyno tuner... he can tune my car into the rich side so that it will not lean out if ever and he will tell what boost should i go for
  13. how did you blew up the tranny? will the a/t tranny hold if i just boost it up .5 under 200whp? or not? just making sure... btw, do i still need to buy an extra fuel pump? what kind and how big do i need? will the stock fuel pump enough?
  14. trd328 blew up his is200 turbo? what do you mean? so ill just go easy with the boost? like .5 to .7 only? i've read somewhere that the AT can hold upto 250hp is it true?? or not? dont want my AT tranny breaking down on me
  15. thats good to hear.... just want it around .5 to .7 boost just aiming around 180-200whp is enough for me... i have an automatic tranny and i'm scared it will not hold if i go higher than 250... it will really depend on the tuner... maybe after finishing eveything i will give a report and full details on it :)

  20. this is my problem dudes, im really scare of blowing up my engine... theres jst like 10 lexus is200 here and the parts are not available for tuning... im active at crshows and events here and i want to be the first is200 here that is turboed. 1st ques... is the parts alright already? t3 is good according to the custom turbo fabricator because it gives me a low spool like around 25000 to 3k rpm.. i need more low end torque because i find our is200 has a good high and mid power... is the garret t3 turbine good enought for me? and im also getting a smaller intercooler maybe just 20x10x2 so that it will spool much earlier and the blowoff will be louder right 2nd question, he will make a fuel line and add additional 440cc injector to my car... is this better or i will just change the wstock injectors with a bigger one? 3rd question will emanege work for our car? i mean this really a good piggy back which controls almost everything better than power fc according to tuners here.. are they right and is it compatible to our cars? 4th ques.. we have a good tuner here that will tune the emange so im not worried at all of going rich or leaning out becuase we have a dyno machine here and they will tune it as a dailty driver car more on the rich side and low boost only around 6 to 8 maybe? 5th question do i need a atf cooler and oil cooler or ill not buy it anymore? sdpent so many money on my car already dont want spending more to it... 6th question. will the tranny hold up at low boost? do you have dyno charts or something like that or some movies that will inspire me how much gains will my car recieve after boosting it? according to my computation our is200 is around 108at wheels were looking at 190 to 200 at thw wheels after this will it reach that? 7th question.. i have defi guages... i have exaust temp to lookout for my I have Defi gauges exaust temp so that ill know if ever ill lean out, oil pressure and temp if the car is if the car is running right… The good thing about defi meter they have beeping sounds para ill set it at a safe number just to have a sfe side I will also buy the defi boost guage and defi water meter… the boost gauge for the boost maybe maintain it at 6 then if ever there will be a vacum leak or damage ill know when im having a higher boost .. water temp for the water... just need to hvae a reading so that ill know if its overheating when im boosting is it all worth it"? 8th question, is there anyone here that blew up a is200 motor already bec of turbo? wrong tune or what? just want to know at a low boost... im really scared its a big step for me... last question, what blow off valve will i buy that will really sound awsome and really lound? sard? blitz? apex-i? or hks? i want a jap brand product hope you can adress each of my problems soon... thanks really need help on this guys :)
