Hi mate, to be honest chooseing to cancel should have removed any of the Xp install......the only thing i can suggest is that once you enter win2000, you need to right click on my computer, select advanced and from that tab you will see the option called "start up and recovery"...its from here you can select what operating system will start at the boot process.... steve

Hi all, I too had the same problem and still do until now i hope...My mech has found that it must be the Lower Suspn arm, have since been to Lexus Croydon and the price they told me is about 117 pounds just for one side...I've been though every thing on checking my car from wheel bal, to caliper, and have even changed my Front discs and pads including the rear...I will order them unless someone knows where to get it from any cheaper..... Steve Ps the guy at the Parts counter at lexus croydon said that these will cause a wobble in the steering when braking ..incase any one wants the part number here she is " L48670-53010"

  6. HI ALL, if the bearings sound noisey on the water pump, what kind of noise can or will be heard then? as at the mo my car, has a funny sound like somethings needs greaseing if that makes sense.... ta for any help

  8. Thanks mate, this helps alot....do you know if the car will still vibrate if the caliper is sticking on the rear....as i too have only just changed my front discs (about 4 months ago) but have not changed the rear discs...
  9. Ok, thanks for your help guy's, will check out the brand new mintex discs i have bought and will check the brake calipers...can the rear calipers cause juddering? someone also said the bottom ball joints might be the cause can anyone tell me what to look for... Cheers Steve

  11. Hi guy's, Symptons: When braking, the steering wheel vibrates this normally occurs at speeds of 40mph. While at 20 mph there's less vibration that can be felt. Does anyone know how to stop the brake from juddering...i have already bought Mintex pads (front and rear) and Discs (Front) from Prolex and have already fitted them..but now three maybe four months later the brake judder has returned... Do you think it could be the rear discs as they weren't changed..Will i have to replace both the front and rear Discs or could there be other causes? PLEASE HELP as it's starting to pi** me right off Cheers for the help Steve

  14. well guy's its finally happened to me... a lorry has hit the back of my lexus...... it happend while i was driving home from work, the lorry driver crossed slightly over into my lane an scraped the back of my bumper and unhinged it from the body . i had to quickly indicate to move infront of him as he hadn't noticed that he hit me..yeah right! my baby lex is now hurt and im :tsktsk: i can tell you. must admit the damage isn't that bad but if i hadn't of drove quickly infront of him he would of drove off.. taking it to a garage on tuesday to see what damage costs are That crunching sound i will never forget .....i just hope that the driver admits its his fault...!

Hi guy's, i too have the same problem by where my front tyres are worn on the inside...i have tried to get the allignment done but was told that my Track rod ends need replaceing... does anyone know the difference between A:Track rod ends B: Bottom ball joints or are they the same thing as i'm not sure how which ones to replace? ta muchly Steve
  16. Would have done the same 4 months ago, but with the new addition to the family it's all DVD these days But I do have a 43" plasma to watch it on :D ← I already had it five months ago, very good film, aparently its a trilogy should be getting the second one soon

Ello guy's, i have been to lexus (Croydon) as i only live down the road....took my car in for a diagnostic and they found that the computer was telling them it was something to do with my Cat Ecu reporting low pressure....they also mentioned that it might also be the senors belonging to the Cat. They also mentioned if i had change my brand of petrol? funny enough i have..from BP to Tesco which was only because of the stupid panic over petrol..anyhows have refilled with BP again and will see how things go?
  18. cheers for the info guy's, but i had both front and rear pads changed along with the front discs.....im sure its the front dics sqeeling though...but hey i will check the back ones just in case;)

NOt so long agao ( 3 months) i had to have the coil pack replaced no.3 and driving home from work the engine light came on...the weird thing was that the car still drove smoothly, once i got home i turned off the car and restarted it and started first time just like it always did, except for the engine light was on.. looks like i have to pay a visit to lexus again....has anyone had this prob before?
  20. not sure about the anti squeal springs but have already put the copper grease on the outside of the pads, it seems ok when driving and the noise is heard when i brake :(
  21. I've fitted my Mintex brake disc and pads, and have had them on for just about two months, but does anyone know how to stop the pads/discs from squeeking avery time i brake? c pls help
  22. Pull it towards you and you get one pass of the wiper blades. Si ← Ok, but there is a control on that stick that you twist up/down?

The diff is that a patch cable will mean you need a router or network hub inorder to connect your pc to your pc..or other device The crossover cable will allow you to connect your network devices to each other without the need of the router or network hub. Yes the cross cable should still be ok :)
