  1. Hi Folks, I've just bought a Toyota compatible Bluetooth AUX/Hands Free unit because, somewhat inexplicably, the 2007 UK spec LS only has RCA AUX input for the rear seat entertainment. While this works okay from the front after some messing about with the RSE remote, it's a bit of a pain for day to day use. Hence the purchase. I'm pretty confident I can get to the back of the CD changer/nav unit with help from a video on YouTube so that shouldn't be an issue, but I was wondering if anyone has used the Yatour BlueTooth/Hands-Free unit? I only want it for Bluetooth really, so I'm hoping the LS bluetooth hands free will still pick up a call when my phone is paired to both. Thanks, Mark
  2. Hello all. As you guys are no doubt aware, the IS is a pain for AUX integration since you have to manual start and stop it, and it has no car controls. I know there are some old threads on the subject, but I was wondering if there has been any advances recently for this? Also, I keep seeing mention of a Ipod Integration Kit from Lexus, but I can't find any info on it? Do Lexus offer an option? Thanks.
  3. Mine is a 59 SE-I, and I don't actually think there is any issue with the car itself, more with the way I am trying to handle music files: 1. I have copied 85 CDs onto a 32GB memory stick, each CD in his own folder. Works perfectly in my other car, but in the Lexus I only see 15 folders! - Any idea? 2. I have an old iPod touch which I have connected to the car. It contains the same 85 folders. First time I copied the files over, when switching the display to the relevant audio screen, the SELECT button only appeared against the track titles Following a second attempt, the SELECT button appears against the track names and the album names, still not against the artist name... which is really what I want! (Before you ask, I have no idea what I did differently from the first to the second attempt) Any idea re either 1 or 2... or both? Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi guys, hope all is well, it's been a while since I was last here, haven't been on the car scene for a few years now Just one question, which kit do I need to put aux in onto the original head unit as my cd changer does still work so no point changing the unit, just want to add USB and 3.5mm aux in I've seen 2 kits on ebay but one says 2004 onwards, the other says pre 2004 but not compatible with 6 disc units? Plug and play preferred cos I don't do snipping wires Car is non nav, 13906 unit (I think) Thanks in advance
  5. Hi all, I am a keen MP3 listener, and wanted to connect my iPod Touch (4 Generation) and have access to an AUX and USB inputs too. I have a Lexus IS200 SE (05 Plate) with the original Sat Nav, and wanting to know if there are any interface devices out there that can be installed in to the original head unit - I quite like unit that came with the car and didn’t want to install a new double din head unit, I also love the original Sat Nav that came with it too. I was looking in to purchasing the Parrot mki9200 device professionally: http://www.parrot.com/uk/products/hands-free-car-kits/parrot-mki9200 But, I have been advised by a reliable source who contacted Autoleads and a few other reputable companies, that due to the Sat Nav in the car, there are no SOT cables that are available for a Lexus with a Sat Nav, but plenty available for the Lexus head unit without the sat nav on the IS200. So its either having sat nav or losing the functionality of it, which I dont want as I love the GPS system. I am also happy not to have the Parrott kit, and to replace this with an interface that can support iPod, USB and AUX connectivity (which sits behind the head unit/ behind/side of the glove box) such as 'XCarLink' and to use the original head units buttons to access the playlists and switch between the songs, but again, I was advised that I would lose the functionality of the CD player in the car. Could anyone please advise if this can be possible or if anyone has managed to get by this problem that I am facing, and provide places/parts that I require to fit this in to my car? Thanks and Regards
  6. Hi all.. I have been having problems with my aux port for a while as it does not always work. I have tried so many cables from cheap to expensive. I have also tried the switch to FM and the start the car and trying aux - but still no luck. This evening i thought i will give the cable a slight push at the port and this helped, so assuming that the port was faulty i decided to take the port cover off with a flat head screwdriver.... NOW i have totally messed it us as the port has sliped in the armrest and i can not put the cover on nor get the port to come back up. can someone point me in the right direction please how to access the port under the armrest....and whilst I am there i dont mind chnaging the port if I have to if it is an easy job as I have seen video on how to take the NAV out but all those wires just threw me out I have tried to upload a picture but dont no if it worked, please see below: Thank you
