Grom Ipod Adapter

Recommended Posts

I have for 5 months now the grom ipod solution on my car and it works just fine.

I also have the line-in cable for the same unit which allows to connect any RCA or 3,5mm audio input.

I 've been using both of those options and every time i want to switch the source from i ipod to anything else

i have to change to appropriate cable connected to the grom unit...

Question is, can we find a solution to have both ipod and an another "line-in" device connected at the same time?

Email from GROM said "we don't have such solution". Not much help from them...

I saw the new USB unit that has, on the same cable, both USB plug AND a 3,5mm plug --> -CLICK-

Can't you just put a switch in? If you use a double pole changeover, it will give you your left and right. Ground will always be connected.

If you are using the ipod connector, you will need to tap in to this lead. The genuine ipod lead has Green for left and white for right. Black is gnd. If ist not genuine (which is likely) then using a pair of headphones, the audio should be easy enough to find.
