  1. I followed the thread about rough idling and it was very helpful. This may help you.
  2. I had mine under warranty, so they would only do the faulty items. If you can convince them to do them all, that may be better, but be careful if you are paying rather than warranty work.
  3. Have followed this post as my 2016 had exactly the same issue, even down to me showing Lexus Milton Keynes Roberts videos as the noise and vibrations were identical. They told me it was a known issue with fuel pump and injectors, and have picked it up after warranty work this morning. They have replaced both the high pressure fuel pump and injector one. They say the issue has been resolved and as i only picked it up this morning, time will tell. The Lexus chap did say there was a paper written on the fuel pump issue, that was affecting injectors and that they had a few in lately with same problem. They rang Lexus UK to get authorisation to do the job on Monday and it was authorised no problem, so it could well be more common than I thought. Thanks to this post, i have had the job done via warranty and hopefully back to faultless motoring.
  4. Sound like issue I had. 2016 F Sport . Just picked it up after a service and told that high pressure fuel pump had been replaced along with injector 1. They say it solved the issue, and as i have only picked it up the morning, fingers crossed.
  5. I will be interested to hear what they say at Gatwick, and hope they sort it for you. I plan on taking mine to a different dealer for next service as my dash cam caught my car being "tested" at 90mph on local roads after its last service. Not a great experience, but i dont want to be put off a great car by a poor service experience. Shame your experience has been bad, as the RX is a great car. Redex definitely improved things, and I have added for about 4 fill ups now. Hope you either reject and get the car you want, or they sort the issue for you.
  6. Been following your posts with interest as my 2016 F Sport started exactly the same thing. I noticed a rattle and poor idle at start up. Your video clip was more or less identical to my issue. I had been using the E10 fuel and the lexus dealer said poor fuel would cause issues. I have recently been running Redex cleaner and switched back to E5 fuel, and have to say it has definitely improved. I am a few thousand miles from next service, but will be asking them to check injectors as next service.
  7. Herbie, not been on any forums for a long while I'm afraid, so no i had not seen any of the comments on this. First I heard of it was today. Thanks for head up on the differences in cover, i will check what they tell me on Monday.
  8. Hard wired my dash cam recently and the internal fuse on my 2016 was passenger side foot well. It was much easier to get at if you pop the glove box out (clips off very easily). It was difficult to see without a torch to start with. Approx 50mm wide and 150mm long.
  9. My wife NX been to Lexus Milton Keynes today, and they informed me about the Lexus Relax extended warranty you get with every Lexus service. Covers the car for 12months or 10k miles. I currently pay for the extended warranty on my RX , and have been told that after its service on monday, the Lexus Relax policy will kick in and I will be refunded the costs for ongoing extended warranty charges. Was not aware of this Relax Warranty with services before and thought i would post in case anyone else currently pays for extended warranty or considering getting it. Great service from Milton Keynes Lexus by the way. Small mix up with booking both cars for service, but they have dealt with it well. https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/warranty/lexus-relax/#rewarding-loyalty
  10. Has anyone swapped out the F sport air intake resonator for the non F sport version? Did it make the car quieter?
  11. Thanks Colin. There is a setting for Driver assistance and i have the Nav function on, but the navigation directions no longer appear on the HUD? Speed, Lane assist, Compass, Tachometer etc all work fine. Just the nav instructions have gone. They used to appear just before junctions, and then fade out again.?
  12. Hi All, Quick bit of advise please. 2016 car with HUD. HUD is working fine, but fo some reason the navigation directions have stopped popping up on the HUD even though it is switched on?? I have searched owners manuals etc and played with all settings, but cannot seem to get the navigation to function correctly on the HUD anymore? Any suggestions? Thanks. Paul
  13. Took a bit of a punt on a centre arm rest storage tray for the RX (4th Gen) from ebay. Couple of pics attached. Quality is good, fits well and adds a new layer of storage. Only posting in case anyone was wondering if these are any good. £13 delivered. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Armrest-Storage-Container-Organizer-Tray-Center-Console-for-Lexus-RX-2016-17-gk/303566155696?hash=item46adf3efb0:g:etgAAOSwXNReu2qL
  14. Thanks All, Malc, Just checked the warranty offer and its unlimited mileage. I will probably go for it and split over 12 monthly payments. It ends up being approx £10 week for peace of mind. £1000 up front makes it seem more, but for £10 a week its a very complex machine and peace of mind is worth it.
  15. Hi All, Be interested in opinions on whether to go for the Lexus extended warranty I have been offered. Car is a 2016 450H F Sport, Purchased a year ago and is used for both business and pleasure. I do approx 25-30k miles a year. Car has 32k on the clock now and has been faultless in the last 12 months. Have returned back to driving Lexus after a few years in various German cars. German cars seem to need warranty more than Lexus. Have been offered an extended 2 year warranty by Lexus for £995 (buy one year, get one free??) Normal wear and tear items not covered which is usual, but should I go with the extended warranty or not?? Is it worth £995 or do I save the money and use it to carry out a repair if anything fails?? Forgot to add that the Lexus extended warranty includes for Lexus roadside and home assistance, + hire car and over night accommodations if they can't fix the car etc Any opinions appreciated.
  16. Hi Moonwalker, just had the same issue with not being able to find CrossClimates in 20'. After a bit of research and ringing Lexus dealer where i got the car, i ended up with Yokahama Geolander. Had them on for a few weeks and i can say they are fine. Quiet, and far far cheaper than the Dunlop SportMax. Lexus were offering these tyres themselves so thought i would give them a go.
  17. I have to make a choice on tyres for 2016 450F Sport. Choices are Michelin CrossClimate at £223 each Continental UHP at £223 Yokahama V201 or Geolander at £174 Should i go for Michelin CC even though its £50 a tyre more, and will they last longer?
  18. I have recently fitted the Viofo A129 Duo Pro 4k versions. Really good quality, and very happy. Rear Cam did create interference issues with the DAB radio, making it cut out a bit. Added ferrite beads and problem solved. Quality of pictures both night and day and the app on the phone to download clips if you want them is great. I wanted something that just did its job and you can forget it unless something happens. the Viofo fitted the bill for me.
  19. i have a 2016 F sport. No issues with it since i purchased it in May last year. Online history did note a recall that i was not aware of. It was done before i picked it up. Have pasted below. Date of Work - 04/04/2019 Mileage - 17429 Details - Recall: POWER BACK DOOR ECU,Recall:AIRBAG SENSOR CONCERN Work carried out by - Lexus Lincoln also pasted below is comments from other RX owners. 20. I will have to start booking something soon, if they are on a long order. thanks for feedback on ATS
  21. Same problem. Looking around based on the recommendations (thank you everyone) and struggling to find CrossClimates anywhere. Will keep looking as not needing them immediately.
  22. I have 2016 450h F Sport currently on Dunlop SP Sports (came from Lexus with these on). I will need a new pair on the front fairly soon, and was wondering if there are any recommendations. I obviously want them to last a decent amount of miles, but also don't want unwanted road noise. With winter coming I need something suitable for wet and cold roads, and maybe snow if we are unlucky. Any thoughts? Paul
  23. Thanks Herbie, Only had her for a week and enjoying the hybrid approach. i appreciate that its all about anticipation, and get used to it. A much more relaxed drive than the German cars i have been used to to a while.
  24. Had the RX for a week now and really enjoying the drive, but got stuck in traffic on the M25 and was wondering if there is a way of getting video in motion working without the plug in boxes that meaning taking the dash apart. It was a fairly simple change in the Audi, and was hoping there may be a simple fix again. Feedback so far would be about 39mpg with a mixture of motorway and town driving, much happier sitting up higher in traffic, turning circle seems larger than the Audi A7, brakes need a firmer foot but i guess thats the weight of the thing, easier to park, traffic updates not as good as Waze but it does try and divert sat nav, iPod connection via USB really good,
