Interior

I have recently bought an is200 S on a 02 plate, it has the standard cloth interior

you can get the half leather interior in full for a good price from a crashed one, cheap enough to consider changing it

obviously the seats will bolt in and out, however the standard seats are manual and the half leather ones are electric and heated

my question is - is the wiring already there just to plug them in ??

or will i have to get my auto electrician to run a feed to power the seats

i expect i will need to get seat heater switches as well

any ideas ???

you may also need to swap the seatbelts(front ones)as the buckles are diff so is the airbag connectors you may also need to hit the pillers with a big hammer to get the newer belts to fit.(the detonator is on the other side on the newer ones)

If you can get a Supra engine into an IS then I'm sure a seat swap can be done pretty easy!

If you want a good condition light beige half leather/half alcantara full interior, electric drivers seat manual passengers. both heated and non deployed airbags, i might know a man who has one...cheap!! :winky:

I heard of some people doing this, and think (not too sure) that some of the wiring is already there but not all !! defo possible also from a friends old imported Altezza RS200 some years ago behind the panel under the stereo there was some think 2 set of wires all tied up & not plugged in, never found out what there for ! the car didnt have electric or heated seats.
