Battery disconnect

Hi all,

i wonder if I disconnected the car's Battery in the IS300h to make electrical installation would it reset anything? I mean would it reset my keyless system or anything bad like that or would it just be the vehicle's clock? Just need to be careful incase I make more of a job, can anyone tell me if they have done it before?

In general disconnect the Battery for more than 10mins will reset things, and cause you grief. But not sure with the Lexus, but safe to err on the side of caution.

Good point, maybe I will try and ask Le us and see if they will answer this question

18 months ago when my IS300h Premier was new it just refused to do anything one evening, no electrics at all.  Having waited 2 hours for the AA (not good service from Lexus) they found that the positive Battery terminal had come off.    When it was re-connected the satnav/information system seemed to reboot and i lost my saved destinations and radio pre-sets but that was all, everything else came back as normal.
