I bought a Battery with a three year guarantee from Halfords just over three years ago, and is going phut. There's a surprise. I wouldn't normally have darken their doorstep but it was an emergency!

Anyway, I need a new Battery and I don't know what Battery Lexus fit as standard. The one I'm considering is Varta Blue Dynamic 335 Battery G7 or a Bosch Silver. Any views on this? Is there a better alternative?

Many thanks.

Hi IanA2

I have just ordered a new Battery for my ls400. Problems was that many batteries would not fit as the tray size is tight I wanted a high amp one but in the end had to find out the Battery that was currently fitted and which on mine was an Exide eb704 or trade code is 030 found a 030te which is the premier range with higher power for urban usage (short journeys in traffic) on the internet. You can put your details into this Battery finder and it will tell you the right Battery.

Got mine from Tanya Batteries just short of £70 delivered (well tomorrow I hope)
