Evening all

I have checked the owners manual but can't find the answer to my air con question.

When i press climate button and turn the heat up to a cosy 22 degrees, the AC touch screen icon is illuminated yellow. Does that mean the AC is on ? Or if I press the AC touch screen icon it changes to green. Is that AC on ?

I have tried to see feel the answer by turning down the temperature to the minimum and pressing the AC touch screen icon to see if one setting is colder than the other but I can't tell.

Logic would be green is on and yellow is off. Can anyone confirm my logic ?

Thanks all

Hi,

I'm fairly certain that when the icon is green the AC is on. However, if the outside temperature is very cold (less than about 4c) the AC turns itself regardless to protect the compressor when the ambient temperature is very low.

The other reason you might not be getting cold air is if the system needs regassing or there is some other fault. The best way to check is when the outside temperature is definitely warm enough to let the AC switch on is when you touch the AC icon to turn it off/on you should hear the compressor click on as the clutch engages inside it, you may also notice the engine idle speed increases slightly. Hope this helps!!

Thank you. Makes complete sense and I have noticed that sometimes the icon was yellow and sometimes automatically switches to green so now I know why... How clever !

Yes, maybe not the best time to be testing AC as temperature has been 0-8 degrees over the last couple of months.

Thanks again
