Noise from wheels

Hi all,

I am getting a sound from the wheels of my LEXUS IS250 when the car is in motion. i have checked the tyres and the brake pads and they are fine. Another thing I noticed is that the steering is a bit stiff on a cold morning and later better when car is warm. i also hear a faint sound (apart from the normal squeaking) when i depress the brakes. there is also some pulling to the side and the car is not pulling faster than i think it should (maybe it's just me). Can anyone recommend solution to this?

Hi Jyde,

Just the other day my wheel bearings were replaced which were causing a whining sound from near the wheels and the car did pull to the side a little a bit as if it was a very windy day. Perhaps it could be your wheel bearings- front, rear or perhaps both?

I am not an expert on cars so I could be completely wrong.

It could be a sticky brake caliper (the pulling) or a build up of rust on the rear discs (outer circumference) rubbing against the back plate causing the noise.

Drive the car for 20 minutes then feel the alloys...if the alloy itself is warm/ hot it may be a caliper.
