Fitting dash cam - which fuse box?

Now looking to fit a dash cam... was intending to use a fuse tap in the passenger footwell, but on closer inspection, that box is really small, and lid is so snug, no way it will fit.

I guess I have two options...

- remove lid

- find a route through the bulkhead and use the larger one in the engine bay

Out of interest, has anyone fitted a dashcam, where did you locate the fuse tap?

I just left the lid off.

I piggybacked the trunk open fuse and you can also see where I grounded it.

It's a permanent live so I can record while parked.I just switch on and off the cam whenever I want.

I also used a low voltage protector.
