I don't mind Comprehensive or +fire and theft being private as it is optional, but not TP only. It is far if private insurance companies offer brake down, windshield, legal cover all other extras, but not core product which is essentially a tax. As well insurance should not cover health, because everyone are already covered. It is same like they would put house cover with your car insurance and charge you million more even if you already have house cover separately.
