Replacing the 12v aux socket fuse.

I recently bought a cheap 12v hoover from eBay. First thing it does is blow the aux socket fuse57707583719a417ab6da8038452ecc97.jpg&key=06d94598be98df1b108f8db874a401dc8ccf2f924c69fad6d9f658ba84dbe0b5. Didn’t risk using it again as the engine kicks in constantly due to the hoover.

Anyway the 15A fuse is in the interior fuse box under the glove compartment. It uses micro fuses in there.

Pull off the panel from under the glovebox and look up to find the white cover that unclips to get to the fuses. The aux socket fuse is the 3rd one down on the right in the above photo.

Because these fuses are micro ones I used the fuse puller from the fuse box under the bonnet.

Top right in the photo.

My fingers are too big to grab hold of it. Replace 15A fuse and refit fuse box cover. Re clip panel under glovebox and job done.

Just thought I’d share in case anyone doesn’t know where it is and how to replace it.

I still need to hardwire my dashcam, and it's the aux fuse I need to piggyback onto I believe. I've got the kit but just need the piggyback fuse. Thanks for the tip about the fuse puller.
