Stumbling?

Sorry if this is the wrong place ,i am new here. After traversing a rather deep puddle the car drove ok for about 10 miles then when i pulled away from the lights the car seemed to "stumble" ie power droped and it did not want to pull away, after a but of coaxing it picked up and continued as normal but did not like low revs especialy going over speed bumps ,about 100 yards from home it lost power but still kept running so i could coast home. It sarts ok ,runs ok just wont pull away. There are no warning lights or smells or any strange noises. Can any one shed any light on what this could be

Hi Kevin and welcome to the LOC.

Being a diesel it would eliminate any ignition related cause usually associated with petrol engines.

Difficult to accurately diagnose also but a visual check of any wiring, plugs and sensors that may have got soaked may be a starting point.

Also check the air filter as water may have been sucked in there.

Finally perhaps get the engine bay dried out with a hairdryer of small electric fan heater ( don’t leave it unattended).

I have taken the engine covers off ,sprayed wd40 on the connectors and am leaving the bonnet open in the sun, hopefully this will dry out any hidden water I cant see (no visible water or dampness any where).

Air filter dry.fuse boxes dry

Dried everything out .started the car car and let it get warm ,took t for a test drive and all is well again.everything is normal apert from a flashing afs light, but the car drives normally ,so it looks like judt a bit of water where there shouldn't have been.
