IS200 2010 Manual Gearbox sticking... help please

I bought the car a few weeks ago and driving round town is fine. Took it for its first hundred odd mile trip this week - after about 80 miles the gearbox would stick in whatever gear it was in and took a lot of pull to change gears, parked up a couple of hours and on my return it was fine. All week been doing trips round towns and has been fine once more. Returned home today and once again after 50 miles started sticking again, pulled into cafe and had coffee- fine again for 20 miles, seems if I stop for a few minutes it works without issue for a few more miles.Hoping someone might have a clue whats causing this, I'm thinking transmission oil but I'm no mechanic!... thanks in advance

Hi Chris could you confirm your model year as the last IS200 models were in 2005?

I think a change of gearbox oil wouldn’t do any harm and also check the mechanical linkages for the gear changer ( WD40).

Does the clutch seem OK I.e. not slipping and bite point good?

Yes its an IS200D SE-I Taken off the v5 also 1st date of registration is 05 11 2010 - clutch seems fine as does the gearbox around town - and as I say it drives fine around town - its just when going on long journeys it sticks in any gear. I will look into what to do re the linkages - thanks
